Great game to test out next-generation hardwares coming out. Nehalem + 2~GT280x2 baby!
Gameplay probably still sucks. lol. \O/
So will this offer and ending to the series of events started in Crysis or not!?
The original Crysis ending was a damn cliffhanger...
I'm looking forward to this. They have a chance to redeem themselves after the tech demo known as Crysis was released to consumers. Looking forward to seeing what they do
The CryEngine itself is probably as scaleable as Crytek says it is. I just think Crysis is a poor implementation of it.
Wasnt CRYTEK CRYing about pc only exclusives????? blaming pirates, ARGGHHHHH.:pimp: this pimp looks like a pirate , also looks like robin hood.
I think EA-GAMES can take a running jump of the Brooklyn Bridge:down:
i think crysis SP was great. i love the tank level. the forest was beautiful.
i'll buy it and enjoy this version too :)
After the fallout from poor coding in Crysis, I won't be buying it. SP was awesome, but I bought games for MP mostly. After the Crysis MP failure, my clan split and I quit gaming for the most part. I'm not giving them another 50 bucks after that crap.
I'll be buying Warhead when it comes out because I want to see if they put my money from the last EA purchase to good use, and I want the third one to be even better.
I really cannot understand why some people insist saying nVidia cheats and Crysis is poor coded...
If you ever give a shot at tweaking the damn engine, you will realize why Crysis IS Crysis and it is the most demanding game ever.
I realize many of you are just unsatisfied with Crysis performance, and again, the problem lies between the chair and the monitor
I loved the game's performance (aside from memory leaks, but those are trivial). I hated it from the administrative side, since I ran a server for it.
Crysis is visually the best game ever, and is proportionally demanding.
I can't believe there are actually people who praise CoD4's "coding effectiveness" because it "runs faster". I have the following rebuttals:
1. Crysis looks much better than CoD4
2. In Crysis you are in ABSOLUTELY HUGE environments and at any time you see a radius of 20+km containing an intense forest.
Crysis SP was awesome and I'm looking forward to anything Crytek has to release.
I don't know why people keep saying COD4 runs better. I have an A64 3000+ 1 gig of ram and an 8800GT and COD4 is so processor limited that it is unplayable for me even on low settings. Crysis I can play at 12x10 on Medium/High and I get 20-40fps avg (depending on the area and settings). I could even play it with the same system except with an x800xt and it ran fine on low. Only problem Crysis has for me is with alot of physics going on, eg blowing up a building. That's not even to mention how much more is going on on the screen in Crysis than COD4.
Also, I remember reading something from Crytek awhile back saying how they have optimized the engine for Multiple cores and I think 64-bit (not sure on that one). Along with some other improvements I was impressed by. Hopefully they'll be using that version of the engine for this next game. I for one am looking forward to this.
I have a strong feeling that this game is meant to spoil FarCry2 sales, all i can say it better be pretty darn out of this world cause far cry 2 oh my god!!:D:D
I bet it will run better than Crysis, They have had a few months to tweak it now and they will be more familiar with the engine, they will be able to pull off similar effects more efficiently etc
Crysis sp gameplay >> CoD4 sp.
Man, the parts at the end of and after the sniper level pissed me off soooo
bad... It started so well, only to be totally ruined by relentlessly respawning
enemies, allies that sit on their ass and do nothing, and an invisible path, a
single way of doing a level, leaving you no other options to try anything else,
only frustration. Cod4 campaign started well, but was a let-down. I haven't
even finished it since.
The mp was better, though; but i'm still a css-type of guy.
I loved Crysis. Good handling, very dynamic. I used to play MOHAA a lot which requires constant leaning left and right. Never found a game that focused on leaning much, but Crysis is also very smooth in that regard.
Can't comment on MP but it's mostly the handling of a game that makes me like a game.
yawn.
They hype the hell out of a game, release it and it runs like :banana::banana::banana: then they refuse to patch it? Then they announce another game thinking everything will be alright? This will more than likely be another nividia tech demo marketing tool like crysis and farcry were.
Maybe if this were free it would be a consolation for dicking their fans over by not patching crysis, but I doubt this is free
Crysis has a great MP community and modding community too, performance is OK so no patching needed.
totally agreed. COD4 was great until they had to kill off the Marine. It all went downhill from there, imo.
They said they weren't patching Crysis for a specific reason. This is it. Get over it. I have a feeling this will run much better than Crysis does anyway.
