Nice review Sioux....mobo very strong......
you can do jumper modding near fan 4 pin. Vcore will be up to 2.3V at bios option.
MickeyMouse did the mod:

Yeah, sorry I forgot to mention you. He told me on MSN you told him :D
How did you figure that out, by the way?
Ouch, it looks sexier than my DX48BT2. :slobber: When can I purchase one?
DDR3 Mobos......P5E64 WS EVO > P5E3 Wifi AP > Blitz Extreme > Maximus Extreme > X48T-DQ6 > Bonetrail > Blackops > X48-T3R > Any 790i/780 :)
There is no independent Blackops review, only some members of XT community have been granted access to this board. Well it's certainly good looking and the quality of components seems good, it's really well thought out but unfortunately in terns of non-LN2 performance I see absolutely nothing to shout about. Can't see how anyone can pick this board as a foundation on which to build a rig that will last you 3+ years... many guys here can either afford to change mobos like underwear or don't pay a cent to play around with hardware. ANd some guy even said the BIOS "may be a little different from what you might be used to" which is a clearly a red flag to me :)
:D Nice review SIOUX - now I won't buy a BLACKOPS but this will be my next board......, better for E8500.......;)
What about NB temps? Is it O.K. with the stock heatsink ensemble?
I miss the NB & SB temps in BIOS............:(
:welcome:
:D UPDATE: Just purchased one......... - will get it next week.....:woot:
you rate the blitz better than the maximus?
and the bonetrail better than theblackops?
the bonetrail board???? its terrible! :D
and while i really dont like 790, i dont think they are the worst boards for ddr3
SIOUX, do you have a SAS hdd? :D
whats the max fsb you managed to get stable with your 8500?
i'm vaguely interested in this mobo - where can u buy them from?
No sorry.....dont have a SAS disc:)
I am 24/7 stable at 560 1.6v. could proberly run 570 1.7v, but i wont do that for 24/7 with normal nb cooling :)
Thats what i love with this board. when its stable, its just stable. no fine tuning for 24/7 use. for an example.......if 572 is very unstable, then 570 can very easy be 100& stable. it have a sweetspot, and when you find it..its steady as a rock :)
yeah, thats why i prefer intel chipsets over nvidia chipset as well :)
570 is really nice... i havent seen a 790 retail board reach a higher 24/7 fsb oc so far
whats taking so long @ available?
