How difficult would it be to re-paste the nb with that fan attachment?
Good work my friend, spotless work. :up:
Mascaras, would you recommend this board over an equally priced p35? Even if someone doesn't have any intention for SLI atm?
It depends, they are different chipsets
750i is better for Ram and SLi /Multi GPU (PCIe 2.0)
P35 is good for single card ( PCIe 1.0) and Extreme OC

have you news for the release in europe and price???
i think they will arrive europe later this week or beginning of next week , and the price should be around 180€ - 190€ , but im not sure , its better ask jAkUp from EVGA or in EVGA Forum

I wanted to say great review. This review has finally made me want this board over the DFI DK X38. I cannot wait to get ahold of one of these boards. Keep up the great work.
mascaras, can you share some more detailed bios settings? I am having problems getting my rig prime stable with my 750i/q6600 (b3) @ 450+
Thanks for the detailed review.
I think with Q6600 for High FSB i used:
SPP= 1.50v/1.55v
vFSB = 1.40v
NF200 = Auto
vCore = depends of each chip
vDim = depends of memory
Memory LINKED
maybe its your Q6600 B3 no???
you can get it stable on other mobo/chipset 450+ fsb ??
try use memory linked !
regards
Yeah, I could get it stable on my ip-35 Pro.
I try to use linked if I can, and aim for higher fsbs above most other else. Could be the B3...
Do you change any GTL settings? My q6600 would get 450 at about 1.425 on my ip-35 Pro, but I run it at 1.48 - 1.49 with no luck so far on the 750i. Also, I am using 2x28 pc8500c5 Dominators which I keep around 2.0-2.1.
Hmm, maybe I just have to play around with some more settings. Thanks.
i used all GTL settings = AUTO
try run mem Linked
also open cpu-z and see what is the Vcore @ Full Load (real voltage)
Run Prime95 Small FFTs Test (CPU test) , if runs OK and the Blend Test Crash , so maybe its not CPU fault and you must try to play with other settings on memory (linked/unliked/Vdim) or SPP/VTT/GTL voltages .

My Striker is donald ducked and I need a interim replacement Leeghoofd recomended this and it looks like a cracker. I am getting a trifle sick of ASUS and I haven't had an EVGA board before. Nice review thus far, thanks.
Weird. It crash in Windows at 450, but runs fine in prime at 470 (3 hours so far).
:D
it could be a FSB hole ;)

Very nice. Going to have to def try this one out. Since I shared some 750i rig pics in Fr3ak's thead, might as well share some with the fellas here.
Here's my little Lian Li a05 with a 750i build
As I stated in Fr3ak'sthread, there is no point in giving a review since mascaras and Fr3ak have all but covered this board, but I thought I would share my rig since people love thread pics! Might as well add to the fun. Love the board, and it is a great board for the money. Nice OC's, great layout, great value, robust, featured bios, and reliable. Somehow, while prices for cpus and gpus have dropped, mobos have skyrocketed. It is nice to get this type of performance for a good price, and get a great layout.
However, the stock nb fan sounds like a weed whacker. You must replace it. I took Leeghoofd's inspiration, and did what he did to his 780i fan. I put a 60mm Stealth on it, and now my system is whisper quiet again.
Systems specs:
LL a05 [blowholes up top - needs the airflow in this case]
Cosair 620w
q6600 (b3) [32 idle]
Swiftech h20-120 Compact
2 x 1gb Dominators 8500 or 2 x 2gb Mushkin 6400, depending on the day
Evga 8800 GTX
HDs: 250 [XP + Vista Ultimate] / 300gb [apps] / 750 [data + media]
Dvico HD tv tuner
Creative x-fi Audio
LG Blu-Ray/HD-DVD player
Plextor DVD-RW
SilenX fans
Yes, my Dominator fan is missing 6 screws - I just did a diagonal pattern after stripping 2 of them modding the fan. I put in 3 Mini Kazes, and there is a big difference in dBa - another suggestion worth thinking about.

Very nicely build Flimflam... hows that Swiftech handling ya B3 ?, maybe you can add a 2nd fan on it for push pull config, though it might be tight with the NB fan..
Thanks Leeghoofd. The Swiftech runs pretty damn well in there. I don't know if you know the case, but the airflow is unorthodox. I may do a push/pull, but wanted to keep it pretty clean inside.
The fan actually draws outside air, with the psu pushing inside out out the front sides, and I do have the top exhaust. Might help temps out quite a bit though. I have an Aqua Computer 120mm rad lying around, and was thinking of throwing that in as a sub.
Nice build/system FlimFlam00 :up:

As always, nice review, my friend;)
