Ordered a 2.4c from Newegg on Wed after hearing of the Z3's and recieved it today. Its a Costa Rica, SL6WF :( So it seems they still have the "older" stepping in stock. I guess its still a crapshoot.
But so far it seems pretty decent tho. Letting it set in at 275fsb at default volts and a Zalman 7000a-Cu, which is stable as far as I can tell.
Man google prime95 and test ;)

Does anyone know of a place to order where they will gaurantee your stepping? I hate this guessing game with newegg and am willing to pay more for an M0.
A friend of mine got a 2,4 with that stepping and he is running at 300fsb default vcore very nice indeed:D ,at 301 windows went crazy,too slow,the mouse looks like crazy i don't know:p: , but he already tried booting at 320 and windows boot normally but inside windows everything stays in slowmotion:confused: ,guess to much oc i don't know,he will try to get some ocz4000 to see if he can pass the 300fsb issue:smileysex

OMG, that is awesome. Now if I could just get one chip like that, I would be so happy.
that's the same thing that happens to me when i push my chip past 300fsb, everything gets all crazy and slow. i can get into windows at around 325fsb on air with around 1.675v, but windows is really really slow and basically unusable :(Quote:

PureBooYah where did you get yours? Random from newegg or were you able to pick it out somewhere?

I picked up a Z3 and found the limits on my mobo and ram.
Benching at 4Ghz was not a problem, scored 212xx with no video card overclock on 2K1.
I had to switch off the SATA raid @ 298FSB (SATA raid drops out when I raise PCI above 33Mhz). This happens to be the same FSB I maxed out with on my 3.2C booting w/ SATA RAID. Ill try my 3.2 again later with the IDE drive.
Whats the highest FSB record atm?? I might switch back to the Asus and put some loving on the NB
362Mhz maybe? Macci pulled that on his Albatron 865PE board.
What voltage and cooling are you using on that 2.4C for 4Ghz?
1.6v @ 4Ghz, Ill try some stressfull benchmarks with stock volts later.
one of my boys just got one, hes having trouble doing 3.3ghz.. i dunno. hes got an ic7-g and some corsair 3500, heres a screenshot, for some reason i didnt find the M0 stepping thing..

Ahh looks like the infamous Abit divider issue....the latest BIOS supposedly fixes the divider problems that occur around 250. Does he have it?
If its not the Abit divider issue its the CH5 memory crap issue....if its not CH5 its the board/BIOS.
i know newegg and googlegear were mentioned, but any sure places where i could get a SL6Z3? thanks

That lagging in windows sounds like a possible agp/pci speed issue maybe?

I am looking to hit 4ghz with my prommy and a 2.6c I have coming, but these chips seem like they could probably do it pretty easily. Your temps are better than a prommy for sure, but able to bench at 4ghz stock voltage...wow. That would probably mean with a bit more voltage it could do 4ghz in a prommy without trouble.
My 2.6C SL6WS was §§§§ty so Im grabbing one of these 2.4 :)
