Up! :)
no problem, M2F takes 1066 no problem, don't think any problem for 1000
Works fine on my Asus board (650i) with 6 GB in total @5-5-5-15, 500MHz (100MHz) @2.175v, NB voltage @1.56v
Asus P5N-E SLI:
G.Skill F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ - 2GB installed in the black slots (pair furthest away from the MCH, higher drive strength for weaker modules)
G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ - 4GB installed in the yellow slots (closest to the MCH)
Actively cooled with a 80mm fan on top.
The 2GBNQ pair (6400) needed 2.175v to run fully stable @500MHz, I'm confident this system will run with 8GB of this stuff.
NB actively cooled with slow 60mm panaflo fan on stock heatsink, stock thermal paste replaced with Arctic Ceramique paste, voltage must be set to 1.56v or higher to work.
Any info for Asus P5Q-E ? I just installed 8GB last night and its not stable.
Another report, 8GB of these modules works 100% stable on Asus P5K @5-5-5-15 2T 500MHz 2.1v
Any compatibility issues with the P5Q dlx?
Is this ram compatible with the GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L Micro ATX Intel Motherboard? If it's compatible what would the ram settings be to run it at 2.1v? Thanks in advance! :)
does G31M has voltage change to 2.1v?
i have a friend has G31M i will ask him
I did a build using the G31M-S2L mobo but used GSkill 2GB (2x1GB) F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ ram. Within the mobo bios I was not able to change the voltage.
I have another build to do & I have the G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ - 4GB ram but I had to RMA the cpu and Gigabyte EP35-DS3L mobo back to newegg. Unfortunately newegg doesn't have the mobo instock at the moment so I may have to use a different mobo. I was thinking of getting the Gigabyte G31M-ES2L which replaced the G31M-S2L. That's why I'm asking if this G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ is compatible with that mobo.
Installed this memory in the rig in my sig. The only thing I adjusted was the Memory Divider, set it to 333/667 (1:1 resulting in 934MHz), the main timings, and the VDimm (2.1 down from 2.2V). Left everything else on auto. Booted OK, but failed OCCT and Prime within minutes.
Went into the BIOS and set FSB to 333 with 266/800 divider (2:3 resulting in 1000MHz) and it seemed to be fine. I didn't run the full gamut of stress tests, but enough to see that it was working much better.
I tightened up the tRFC to 48 from 52 and the Performance Level (tRD) to 7 from 8. This gave me a tRFC of 3120 vie 2600. It ran even better, but, if I left those changes in the BIOS, it wouldn't even POST at FSB 467.
Will this memory run at FSB 467?
Any support for G Skill products?
Hello,
I just bought 8GB (4x2GB) of F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ and was wondering what were the best settings to use in the BIOS (version F5) for this memory?
It's running on :
Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P
Intel Q9450
I would really appreciate some help, as I've tried a couple of different things that didn't work ( seemed it could only jumoo from 800mhz to 1066 so tried running at 800mhz with 4-4-4-12) and had to recover the BIOS at some point... never had to adjust timings in the BIOS before, but CPUZ tells me it'S only running at 800Mhz...
Thanks for any help (yes, I'm a newbie at fine tuning...) :)
I have 8GB of PQ 8000 coming so I will see if it works on p5e(rampaged) and then either P5Q-deluxe or Maximus II formula.
These work flawlessly on a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P at stock settings. 8 gigs worth too!
I'll update on overclocking later...
does this 2x2gb kit work with the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R?
i'm having some freezing problems. freezes regardless of idle/load. usually within 24 hours
great specs rmanuelb.
