Well if I want to update I have to use it. Unless there is another way to do it?

I kind of hate IE and use Fx, but this is still interesting, due to the claimed standards compliance, and I'll try this.
Who makes Internet Explorer?
I think its absolutely hilarious that they make the browser standards compliant with Acid 2.0 and then Acid 3.0 gets release...so far I think the highest score on it has been around 80 something by safari. The current build of firefox only scores a 50 ( firefox beta 3 is somewhere around 70). Link here: Acid 3 Test
If you have some semblance of a modern PC, it shouldn't be slow and bloated.

Also, in the past 1-2 weeks past Firefox 3 Beta 3, significant strides have been made in the javascript performance which should help in things like Digg, Google Maps. In the long run, memory management has been noticably down.

I think it's an awesome result that the current nightlies of both Webkit and Gecko are 2x / 3x faster than the current production versions. Can't wait until Firefox 3 is released to the public!
Only thing which looks like a nice feature are the web slices, now I want to be able to drag those anywhere on my desktop :D
Well i got the mess to but then it asked me if i want to run the activex control a said yes, then i refreshed it and i got 100:shrug:
Lol... here's some wisdom i just found, concerning the release of ACID3 the day after IE8 beta comes out to smack MS around the face:
The Explorer used the Navigator to go on a Safari and find a Firefox. He became a Konqueror and came back to the Opera. And no, I'm not on ACID(3) ... :ROTF:
Feel free to alter this / quote it in ur sig :P
Agreed, I uninstall that crap from windows every time I reinstall XP. I haven't used IE in ages. They copied FireFox tabs anyway.
Just use the IE tab extension. Oh yeah, thats why FireFox kicks but. Extensions and a community that actually develops its product.
feels just like IE7
Microsoft non-beta products are so buggy I'd be scared to even try a M$ beta product.
can anyone please tell how does this version work instead of being offtopic?
CoolZone the thread went offtopic because everything what can be said about the app is already said... it's MS, it's IE, it's still not really standards appliant, it's a beta..
What more do you need to know? List off sites that work with it?
/sarcasm
Lighten up abit, plenty off usefull posts in this thread if you ask me? And if you got a specific question, just ask it... if you want to know how it works, download it and try for yourself and then come back and join the off topic talk because you'll see everything you thought about sharing with us is already mentioned :toast:
downloaded... installed... man it is so slow, compare to opera 9.5
Why is that test so important? Isn't real life usage a better test? In real life, I see no real problem with IE or Firefox, but only Opera displays my HTML 4.01 Strict compliant page properly.
I had to set it to emulate ie7 or some forum codes would bork up, therefore its pretty much like using ie7.
