it looks good. and tidy...
like the blue, might have to give that feser one stuff a try. nice first build
nice 1st build matey! should be great after a clean up :)
Hi Masterchief!
I find myself dreaming about watercooling and keep coming to the point whether I should go for a Lian li V2000+ or a Silverstone TJ-07. That's is one of the reasons I really appriciate your worklog so much. Besides, this is one of those which fall right into my matter of taste.
That's why I'm asking you this:
If I'd eventually choose to go for a V2000 I thought of a similiar setup for the power supply but I'm a bit worried about the stress caused on the screws holding up the PSU. Have you made any reinforcement brackets or something to ease the screws?
Thank you again for help lads like myself by share your worklog, keep it up
I have a V2100, which is the same case on the inside and haven't noticed any sagging as from the screws holding up the PSU. The only downside is that the PSU has to be turned upside down, so if you have a PSU w/ the fan opening on the bottom, it doesn't get as much air and tends to run a little warmer.
Looks really good and clean masterchief!
But I think you should put some tip ties around that base of the D5 (around and through the HD cage holes there) to secure it more.
It looks like it's about to fall off... ;)

how are temps?
idle @ 3.6 is 30 to 33
load @ 3.6 is about 45 to 50 with prime95 over 12 hours
before on my zalman i was touching high 80s at load thats at 3ghz
i was going to start a new thread but thought that its all the same so keep it in here
any way after my first water build was a semi success in that it didnt leak and dropped my temps alot i new i needed to do some work on my case to help it out so heres some pics for ya, still have the mounting holes to drill and clean up then i can get on with my side panels the radgrill holes where done with a dremel (one of the discs shattered on me and i got a piece on my top lip fooker wouldnt stop bleeding lol) on with the pics

hey man, looks awesome so far! nice modding... i am wanting to start my first water cooled system as well and i was wondering how much did you whole kit cost roughly? looks awesome... and i deffinately would need a new case for one too >.<
i have found that water cooling stuff is alot cheaper in the usa than in the uk so my prices might shock ya even tubing is a rip of over here :shakes: i tells ya if i win the lottery am moving over there
what were your temps at idle and load prior to installing this w/c system? i want to be persuaded to order that stuff right now =P
before my w/cing i had a zalman 9500 and i was touching high 80s with my cpu at 3ghz running prime95 i can now get 3.8ghz with aload of 60 in a warm room:up:
edit
think i have found my unofficial sponsor 2 more of them came today lol

3x front intakes
2x top exhaust
1x side intake
1x back exhaust
4x rad in push/pull
wow, i am mainly just scared to go w/c because i heard horror stories of spills and fried hardware >.< im currently using an asus arctic square as my hsf with arctic silver 5 and my temps are still very good running my 6400+ at 3.5ghz... but im wondering if i can hit 3.6 with a w/c rig =P
you could do what i did and fit it all in with out the hardware, run it for a few days via the psu wire trick that way if it does leak the headware is not in there to get damaged save option
another question... how loud is your system now with the w/c rig? is the rad/pump pretty load compared to just an air cooled system. also what is the psu wire trick? lol
i can not hear the pump at all but thats down to having 11 sharkoon 2000s in there at 100% lol
as for the wire trick here is a website that uses a paperclip but i prefer to use wire http://aphnetworks.com/tutorials/psu_paperclip_trick it just means i can power up the water setup with out the need for a mobo and other hardware
i calculated it out... for a kit like yours its gunna be around 380 dollars. not too bad. just means im not gunna be buying me a 3870 x2 =(. lol

got some trimming to do but i really like it what you guys think
Hi MC!
Are you going to do a dual loop for gpu and/or NB,SB,mosfets etc or Are you going for dual PA120.2 in series?
Btw I really love your rig so far, really neat. Just about something I'd like to do.
just wondering what are your room temps?
the feser one coolant looks ridiculously nice, in all colours. I wish we got it in AUS :(
Great build - impressive results :)
no dual loop for now it was on the cards but have other things first :(
not sure on temps at the moment as my thermometer has go for a walk (dam nephew)
yea the feser does look nice but if your after some good uv action then the blue is not for you if Aus gets a supplier as its just a bit to weak for my liking
