Thats sticky back insulation, 3mm thick 50mm wide.
Applying this to the insulation is the key to ensuring the socket is air tight. If you do a good job grease isnt needed in the socket i find :up:
But always recommend ppl still use grease just in case, or atleast on the back of the cpu so if there is moisture you dont a get rusty cpu.
Just before that i use cork tape or seal string to fill that small gap. I have also stuck it on the retaining clip as well in the past.

I gave up recently.

I have had condensation to many time and now I can be bothered any more.

I grease it all up with vaseline, heat it up with the girls hairdryer.
Then apply my pre cut nepren pice.
The extra pice on top and then Im golden.

Hi all

Noob here..
lots of WC in past now got hold of a Little Devil single stage unit. So looking through forums for all the help i can get.

So to start did you put that DvD up at all Kayl, if not can i get access to it for d/l sometime ?

Now off to buy a new cheaper mobo to start all this, dont want to blow my EvGA 790i ultra.

Noob to the whole subambient cooling dept. :) Only concern. I like to change equipment somewhat often. How hard is it using the liquid electrical to convert a board back to an OEM state to sell it? Or when commiting to insulating a board do you pretty much write it off as not resaleable?

Which method cleans up better to return a board to OEM state, if someone has suggestions.

I am considering running a Coolit Boreas subambient and know I wil need to insulate the board if I do.

Dont use this method... use kneadable rubber erasers. Much cleaner and easier to remove as if the board was new :up:
