I've heard of a guy who did a Vdd mod with the wrong value pot and fed the chipset over 4V!!
His luck was that it never booted, the board is still alive.
I don't know what you mean by 3Dstable, because it runs just fine at 1.7V in bios 1.0 3D games like warcraft3 for hours and 3Dmark2001.Quote:

If it does 240 fastest timings at 1,7V it's one of these sweet ones :D But I must say I measured the vdd at 1,7V and it read out 1,78V.Quote:

Bios 18 was the most stable for me, but things may change when I get my new 2500+ ;) 10 is absolutely no good for me. Most time it already craps out at windows load/boot up bluescreening on me :(
My NF7-S does 240MHz no problem.. It's not 100% stable and I cant get it that way either.. It's driving me mad. Vdd is @ 1.74V, 3.3V is 3.45. NB is watercooled. Upped Vdd voltage to 2.0..no change.. Tried slower timings..no luck.. oh man.. :mad:
Memory is Corsair Twinx CH-5 chips. 3.2V on the mem also doest really help. Still I think it's the memory..

My ram does 243MHz each stick but at high cpu clock I cannot get this 100% stable.

I'm thinking of flashing my board from bios 14b to bios 10, but I got scared, a guy I know did this, and his chip got corrupted. Anyone else had his? Since in suck things i never have any luck, I'm scared, plz help me out :p

Back on Bios 10 :D But since I only won about 2 MHz FSB, i'm gonna try the d18, just to see :) I know I can't flash back, but what the heck, it's worth a shot IMHO, I want 230 w/o mods :D

Bios 10 will give you the best performance i guess and gives you the oppertunity to use multi 10 and 10,5 with high FSB.
This bios has some bugs, but if it's performance you're after this is the one. :D

Indeed, I am noticing a annoying "ambulance-sound" and not booting at multi's 9,10 and 10.5 with bioses 16 and above :s
Are the bugs important? Because if they aren't, i'm certainly goin' back to 10!!!
No, it has something to do with low fan speeds, you should disable option: shutdown if fan fails and all is well. :)
I've got bios d10 as well and i like it a lot.
That option is always disabled here, I'm running watercooling on Northbridge, VPU and CPU, so no fan's attached ;)

Lets Clear something here which become VERY DANGERUS by mistake.....
DO NOT FLASH TO 1.0 BIOS but to d10 (for Ver. 2 NF7) and all will go OK....
If you falsh to 1.0 BIOS to NF7 Ver 2.0 board you will have a DEAD board due to BIOS CORRUPTION....
1.0 BIOS is ONLY for 1.2 VER Boards....
For me ONLY d10 (for Ver. 2 NF7) can Give me this.....

So i can explain WHY this happend with d10 BIOS but its true..... :banana:
My Memories is the Problem here for gain MORE performance because i cant stay stable with lower timming than 11-3-2-2.5 at fsb Higher than 243.......
Probably a VDDR MOD to 3.2 Volts help my ram stay stable at 250 FSB and 6-3-2-2 timmings and take over 3900 score on Sandra MEM BENCH.....
My nf7-s r2 goes to 245/490 but no higher. I tried different ram and same results with both ch-5(1gig) or bh-5(512mb). I dont have a multimeter so i cant up my vdd at all. I am air cooled on my northbridge and it does not get hot. Southbridge is a little warm. I think i need more vdd but not sure. 480 is stable but i can go in at 490.

My board does 237 fsb synch max. I think its my mem thats keeping me back(damn TwinMOS PC3700), it wont run higher than 225 with 2-3-3-11 timings. Running By SPD timings now, 3-4-4-8 :(
Havent modded ONE thing to this board, all stock. I will add bigger HS to NB, heatsinks to mosfets and PLL chips and SB cooling as soon as i get my Barton :)

excuse me, but i have some pbs to read you correctly.
I understood that u have fluctuation on both High voltage' and 'efective Vdim' pins right ?
What I state is that UNDER FULL LOAD (prime95) none of these should be fluctuating, you must have stable voltages on both pins of the pictures, and a good way to get Vdimm stable is to rise 3.3v in order to get the 'high Vdimm' stable and 0.15V at least higher than the Vdimm you need.
The 5V reading is on the 3rd leg but myself i can read it around 6V
