they were expecting to retail X48 soon hence the new PCB
but this is an X38 board and chances are if you buy one today you will most likely end up with the same board ;)

I over clocked E8400 @ 4.2ghz Vcore 1.60, NB @ 1.65, SB @ 1.20 the rams 1240mhz @ 5-5-5-18 2.32v dual prime95 4 hrs stable.This set-up work very well effectively. The concern is why at 1.60 vcore? I've seen overclockers doing less vcore at this Ghz speed i.e vcore 1.40-1.55? Is there something I'm missing or is possible I need a new PSU single rail @ 90amps? Check Sig below:) :)

not all CPUs overclock the same
some need more volts than others besically
your chips is not that great if it needs some much voltage
but hey 4GHz+ is awesome isn't it :D

Seriously? The goal is to hit 4.5ghz which probably requires 1.75v!! or more! I'm beginning to feel the heat up here. How can I have a bad CPU? maybe a new BIOS might help?:shocked:
