So with these kind of dualcard thingys, is the perfomance a lot better than an SLI version, if so is it near 100% performance increase to just one card on its own?
Thats the problem. Unlike a processor that can work with 2x4GB/sec (Unidirectional) with HT1 between the cores. Or a shared FSB with some 10GB/sec for everything. Then such a GPU design would need 100 or 200GB/sec.Quote:

it looks like they fixed the main 7950gx2 problem since this time it looks like it has its 2 heat sinks opposing so u have 1 on the front and 1 on the back instead of sandwiching one
and i meant that the r700 will be like an intel quad, i meant it as what were going to see is 2 cores next to each other and not a 2core die, but a cluster is like a cpu core more so than havening 2 gpus
