testing how much memory is needed with average fps is next to useless its only when the game starts using far more memory than the card has and the stuttering becomes almost constant that it really shows up in a average fps benchamrk
gpu mem is much the same as ram in this way average fps benchmarks show little difference between 1g and 2g ram but take out 1g and you sure as hell notice a difference in the game the stuttering can be very annoying
minimum fps and memory usage from something like rivatuner is needed
as for the fear benchmark fearxp can use up to 604m on the first level and up to 240m on the second level so how these tests were done is also important
