auto clock feature actually works now on my system. got my 9500 up to a whopping 2366! ;)
Very nice, thank you MR.Q. :toast:
Are you running chilled water cooling/TEC or are your AOD temps wrong?
Because they are reported sub-ambient there.
This system runs on very cold air atm KTE, hence the lower temps. I just recieved new version of everest and this also reads same. Picks up all my systems info correctly now aswell.
I've read through this and other threads and saw you mention beta bios' for K9A2-platinum, is this same motherboard and is it possible for you to link me or send me bios you find most stable? I updated the original v1.0 bios to v1.1 but am plagued with no ps2 mouse error on system boot
TLB section in bios has no fields, is this same with your setup?
Also, since you experienced, have you experimented with the yellow/red highlight function in the top right corner of AOD? I am finding yellow status gives best performance according to AOD benchmark which isn't in line with what AOD documentation states?
Thankyou.
Hi here is a image of the problem.

Mr.Q: Thanks. Keep an eye on the Phenom 9500 w/MSI K9A2 Platinum thread I started, I will post the BIOSes on there as soon as I can.
The button in the right-hand side seems to be "TLB caching". ;)
That's because you have set a 11x NB multiplier. ;)
Try and set it to 9x Northbridge multiplier and you should get equal perfect readings in everything. :)
Thesavage: Does the BIOS not have NB Multi changing under "Advanced"? AOD cannot yet change NB multi.
I've not played with your board and I've not seen anyone post BIOS pics of it using a Phenom, so I don't know what options you have, sorry.
No unfortunatly all the M3A has is a Northbridge to cpu Ht link speed no multiplier though, any idea if this will effect overall speed though?
Yeah I know about it. What is it set to? Try setting it to 1800MHz.
I have played with various speeds from 800-1800MHz and the only difference seems to be in windows itself which responds slightly better with a 1000MHz link speeed but unfortunatly cpuz and AOD still report different speeds from each other which makes testing/ overclocking very difficult.
Then I don't think that's the NB speed at all but maybe the HT link speed.
They should both be 1.8GHz stock.
You have BIOS problems basically. You need to be able to choose "default" or 1800MHz NB speed with 9x multi and system software readings will be fine. Try a newer BIOS. ;)
I wish i could got any contacts there? Asus still lists the very first bios for this board. Btw have a Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe wireless on my desk which i want to replace the M3A with but i cant get it to boot no matter what, it just seems dead.
Same to you and you're very welcome. :)
Thesavage: I can't find any newer BIOSes and queries many have asked ASUS seem to still be unanswered. You will have to ask them here to give you a BIOS that actually lets your system run fine as they advertised and you paid for: http://support.asus.com/techserv/tec...Language=en-us
Tell them that its running NB at 11x multi which messes everything up because it should be running NB multi at 9x for stock Phenom. ;)
@Mr.Q - the Platinum bios is not the same for CF-F.
There is a beta which fixes the USB / No Ps2 mouse error, not sure of anything else.

Which ATi drivers are you using? Is that AOD beta 14 (could not get 2.10 to work on mine).
Much obliged Russ. I've included screeny so you can see ati smbus driver version, it's the one which came with the motherboard on the vista install cd. I have a link to 7 series chipset drivers but there seems nothing to download yet :(

Also, AOD is version 2.0.14 beta yes.
what the heck is boost mode?, can anyone explain :D
Mr.Q run the Catalyst installer. It should update all your AMD/ATI devices. Grab the 7.12's.
