thats a pretty freaking sweet name D9GTR. A racing bred version of ballistix sticks, now thats what i'm talking about.
started to get some runs done on the Maximus Extreme and boy did these sticks take off at 8-7-6. they actually left the Corsair Dominators in their wake...was not expecting that to be honest, but no complaints from this guy.
well, no complaints with the memory, but again i feel i am at the motherboard limit but haven't given up just yet ;)
Very nice write up there 3oh6.. Making me feel I have done good with my choice of memory. Now for the real test tomorrow on my new Asus S2E mobo. I have one question though what is the MAX vcore to be pumped into these sticks? And what would be a safe operating vcore?? I will be using a Corsair Fan kit on them...
Thanks...
thanks...a to be technically correct, it is vdimm, not vcore, but i know what you are talking about :)
there really is no guaranteed vdimm for D9GTR that we know of yet. for 24/7 i wouldn't go a tick over 2.1v though and would try to stay at 2.0v unless the gains were really worth it. this may change over time but i think this is pretty much the consensus right now. there is a thread here about vdimm with DDR3 and safe voltages but i can't seem to find it right now...

there it is. just remember, there are a lot of 'opinions' in that thread so take some of the stuff with a grain of salt. HTH
