I fired up the board today and it locks in the exact same spot that Opps does. If I set it at 255 I get into windows no prob. Then using SETFSB I was able to get it up to 268 1:1 with 2.5-7-3-3 and run sandra cpu & mem test.

My board and ram do the same thing as everyone elses. How do I get setfsb to work on my IC7? I tried turning off HT and rebooted but it still was a no go
Steve
serfsb does work, BUT cpuz and wcpuid don't show the correct fsb/mem.
Ok but when i raise the fsb with it my benchmarks go unchanged
It should change 3Dmark scores.

Ah the one test I didn't try :D

Seems to work :D
Does anyone tried four sticks of 256 MB OCZ PC3700 Gold with regard to the thread topic?
tome
You'd need to reinstall WinXP without HT.Quote:

But wcpuid can read the correct speed too:

I think you need to re-read the thread topic. It doesn't have anything to do with running 4 sticks of 3700 memory.Quote:

I think it is just another parameter. Running two or four sticks on the IC7 in DC mode at 256+ (1:1/5:3) is maybe a hugh difference.Quote:

I have tried running 4 sticks, and it doesn't help! I get a more stable and higher clock 1:1 and 5:4 with 2 256 sticks instead of 4-256 sticks.
Thanks for the info. This will prevent me from buying another two sticks. I will wait for mem that's capable of running at 270+ in 1:1 mode.
Just so everyone knows I tried last night to run just 1 stick of ram at over 255Mhz and got the same result. I've also found this board will not run at 300Mhz FSB+ using any mem ratio and 2 sticks of ram but with one stick I can do 318+
Steve
I swapped out my IC7 and updated bios, and now I get the 256/ on boot. I can also set to 255 and boot into Windows.
Does this limitation affect the IC7 in 5:4 mode?
ie does someone lucky enough to have a P4 running at 300fsb
have any trouble with memory at 240MHz?
with 4 sticks it doesn't help that real vdimm is 2.76v maxQuote:

i tried 4x 256MB ADATA PC4000 sticks on
PX865PE PRO2 with 2.85v vdimm max error free so far is 261mhz 3-4-4-8
IC7 with 2.8v vdimm max is 237/238mhz 3-4-4-8
4 sticks sees max oc drop alot compared to 2 sticks max with 2.85v being around 274-277mhz on PX865PE PRO2.. can't go past 255mhz on IC7 still :(
My IC7 wont do over 300FSB using 3:2 or 5:4 unless I use one stick. If I run one stick I can go all the way to 318 with the stock NB coolerQuote:
