Why does it matter whether it says 34C or 34k

It's a German magazine, called "Hardwareluxx [Printed]" and the test is not available in English or on any website unfortunately.
I know for sure that the testing was done by Radical, since he also frequents the hardwareluxx forum and there was some discussion concerning the test results a month ago when the magazine hit the newsstands.
It is restrictive, but maybe that is why it cools well.
The flow rate of the Cuplex was 3.76 l/min, the D-Tek Fuzion had 5.82 and the Apogee GTX 4.87. He used a Laing DDC+ with a modded Watercool top, a Thermochill 120.2 and a flow meter and a small filter.
thats quite a big difference between the 3.76 and 4.87. now imagine a real life scenario when you cool not just the CPU... you may end up with a 1L/m flow...i dont know how good that would be?
A CPU with lapped IHS was used, an E6600 at 3.83 GHz and 1.46V. The next magazine will feature a test with a quad.
The fact that the TDX performs second best just makes the whole test a bunch of BS. I really don't understand why anyone would try to defend this test at all.
Well the TDX is ranked third, because the "bowed" Apogee GTX is ranked second, but not listed in the chart. And he might just have gotten a TDX that makes great contact with his CPU. How much of an effect the fit between CPU and waterblock has is nothing new I guess... the few degrees difference between the top coolers are very much dependent on which one sits best on the IHS.
no.. a TDX will lose to a apogeeGT and GTX unbowed.
It will also lose to the Enzo block, and lose to a D-tek fusion, and also lose to many other blocks.
the TDX is crap compared to the newer blocks you can get. I wouldnt recomend anyone to go out and buy one unless they whore blocks like i do. I have a TDX silver, and its sitting in my box of parts. Its sucks crap compared to the newer generation of blocks.
DD has a third evolution coming out soon. I guess this is there chance at salvation. If you want a DD Block, i suggest you wait on that, otherwise companies like EK Swiftech and D-tek will make you wish you got them instead.
This is getting complicated. I'm sure somewhere in Taipei, some executive has a chart like that in different colors, except the name of the first bar is ThermalTake. And the same chart probably exists in Seoul at the Koolance headquarters as well.
Look at the smile of that guy, Jan P. I gather he's some executive at Aqua Computer, or maybe he's an editor at HardwareLuxx lol "We're simply the best! Better than all the rest!"
I think you guys should keep an open mind on this. After all, they are Germans and unseeming stuff can be possible.
