No way!
This is XS, the most important question is will it rip my face off with it's speed? :D

Et tu Nvidia ??!!, Then fall Prices !!!
(eh anti-climactic but I try :p )

Isn't it funny, I swear just the other day some high profile members on this site were claiming there's no such thing as a 9800GTX coming out by the end of this year...
Who do we believe?
Link to the other thread
I'll have to talk to Gorillakos about this. Things change very quickly in this industry, as the past has shown us regarding release dates, especially when they involve high-profile products such as the 9800 series. I still stand by what I said in the other thread however.
Ehh but whwre is single chip high end part from NVIDIA?? I thought there will be something like GF8900GTS but it seems there will only be GF8800GT with performance between GF8800GTS and GF8600GTS. It`s too bad...:(
It seems rv670 is stronger than G92 and NVIDIA won`t have any GPU to fight with rv670:( GX2 card isn`t good choice because of drivers.
We don't really know the performance of G92 or rv670 yet, just wait for the parts to release before getting depressed. For all we know G92 could really sit between the 8800GTS and 8800GTX and the rv670 could end up being a bum chip
first off we have no clue on how the 8800gt will perform. second this source said there will a NEW high end chip this december. third the rv670 is said to have the same performance as the R600 so the top end will remain nividia's by the looks of it. and fourth there is nothing really wrong with a GX2 type card. look at the 7950GX2 it can still face the 8800gts in most games and beat it in others it uses less power than the 8800gtx and can still be use on all platforms. it heat generation is not as high as the R600 or 8800gtx and it is a smaller card than the 8800gtx while still only taking 2 slots. it was a good card and a dual 8800gt would be a winner for sure. even more so in quad sli (2 cards) or tri sli (with 3 cards for a total of 6 GPUs:D )
Man, I can't wait for the 9000 series.
G92 is said to have lower performance than GF8800GTS and it seems to be slower than rv670. I was hope NVIDIA will release its new highend part (as BenchZowner said few days before) to replace GF8800GTX.:(
You are saying about highend part in December but i can`t find this info - where did you get it from?
And last one - GX2 like card. I think it`s no good way yet because of drivers issues in SLI mode with GF8 series cards. Drivers for GF7 series cards was better to use SLI than GF8. Moreover there are some games which doesn`t support SLI well and there is no performance boost over single card.
Yes, glad to hear some positive news about the G90. I hope it comes this year, because I turned away an 88UT so I can get my hands on this haha.
Thanks for the news GoriLLakoS.
Hmm on Chiphell forum there is info posted by Napoleon that G98 is GF8900.
I thought G98 was supposed to be a G84 replacement:shrug:
Moreover i have found some interesting info about G92 too. It is said to be 6TCP GPU (96SP, 24TMU and 16ROP) but GF8800GT will only have 64SP and 16TMU enabled. There will be one more card based on G92 (with all SP and TMU enabled).
I hope it`s true because i don`t think GF8800GT with only 64 SP will be able to fight against rv670.:(
I believe what GoriLLakoS said about G90 is true too and we will see it by the end of year.
The SP is not as easy as it sounds.
R600 got 64SP(4+1), that marketing made into 320. nVidia G80 got 128(1+1), that you can make into 256 by the same logic. nVidias also run faster, but they are more simple.
We dont know yet if nVidia made their SPs more advanced than before.
Indeed, part of the reason the R600 can't cope worth a damn in DX10 half the time is its lack of ability to thread the different shader types efficiently. That and NVIDIA has their hand in every game that uses it so far.
That being said, while 128 SPs, and in many cases 96 SPs compete well against R600's 64 shaders, 64 SPs don't really have a chance.
And against my GTS which is at 692/1754/1961? ATI and G92 have no chance....
