Man, I dunno about the fields and such, but something must be going right if they can sell a dual core at 3.0G for under 200$, I mean that pretty much implies to me that getting that speed is a cakewalk for their 45nm process. I think that will definitely be my CPU of choice, I still cannot see any remotely convincing reason to move to quad core anytime soon for my computing needs.

OK, I see. Thanks! I hope that they will launch as soon as possible. And even more important to me is, that they have to run well on my Striker, because I don't want to change my mobo.

Ok. I know that all ASUSes P965 and nForce 650/680 will support new Wolfdales and Yorkfields.
And what about other mainboard vendors? (not mention all Bearlakes)

Take into consideration that it's DivX with SSE4, which Conroe lacks.
Hence the great advantage.

Anyone know why HL2 always gets the biggest boost?

Hopefully the 450 will be in the 300-350$ range. If it isn't, I'm gonna' need to start a lemon-aid stand or something.
