Any word on power consumption in "Pro" mode? Does it have power regulation similar to the HD2900XT? Looks like a good deal, about the same price as the more expensive 8600 GTSs here in Norway.

Great news, but the power/cooling is still making me want to hold off till the 55
nm parts. I'd like to keep my cooling as silent as it is, but this is too hot for that

So this begs the question, why was the 2900xt so expensive compared to this? At least a 100 dollar difference if not more. So do we see a problem here? How much we are being ripped?
So is the card physically the same? This has been done in the past, but with lower voltages and weaker caps on the card itself which limited its max potential.
Looks pretty good for the price , no wlets see what nvidia brings to the market.
I would think a better question would be how much where consumers being ripped by the $600 GTX and $800 Ultra...Quote:

I'm just waiting to hear that this card features all the RMA 2900XTs or something like that. No matter though, sounds just like the 7900GTO which was a great card for me. Now I debate if I go with this 2900Pro and proven performance or wait for 2950Pro and 55nm. Decisions decisions.
