Board heatpipes just add more cost, still need good airflow to remove the heat from those copper chunks.
I cant wait to see Abits board
I'll be selling my q6600 for this :D
Definatly Asus mobo for me, 2* PCI-E for crossfire is perfectly adiquate will have to work extra to afford two 2900xt's as it is
I can imagine there to be bottlenecks a plenty with quad 2900xt's on msi bord for instance...
September/November is release date for these??
Yes, I wanna know when ETA is. I'd rather get this than an Intel setup...
Take all that cooper off and you get horrny cheap board :)
and that would be that what i need :)
Die Intel, live AMD like a free bird :)
I would much prefer a ~$100 board without all those heatpipes that still does crazy HTT speeds. The heatpipes are unnecessary and just add cost. Give me regular beefy aluminum sinks, I got airflow to spare.
Give it to me bare, I got waterblocks!
anything on 8x8 mobos based on RD790?
yeah, that's what I want too, but I'll be content with this.
Bling sells mobos.
bangs for bucks.
(but ignorance plays its part) - i know all about ignorance :ROTF:
...look, look; it's something new and shiny :slobber:

Well, the DFI board sure looks good, but what about the sata connectors? Just two of them?
no; there's another 2 x 2 SATA upright ones (for 6 total) at the bottom of the DFI board.
Very great pics! The msi mobo looks sexier for me :)
Thanks for sharing peeps
I'm curious: is there anyone out there who uses more than, say 3-4 SATA drives?
I mean from 3 drives it makes much more sense to buy an almost noiseless gigabit NAS box w/ RAID for $400-500 and keep it running 24/7 as your all-purpose server (besides serving my file server needs I stream music, movies etc from mine).
and you shoud start learning to use the edit button to avoid triple posts.
hey tictac, you forgot the hammerhead!
