Great job with the motherboard. The tubing's gonna be a bit of a hassle though won't it?

Great job with the motherboard. The tubing's gonna be a bit of a hassle though won't it?
Thanks :)
As for tubing, it shouldn't look too bad, I have a good layout for the board tubing wise in mind. It will be 7/16ths tubing - provides a great seal.
mcoffey, the PC343B is a great case just takes a lot of work that you wouldn't need to do with a MM build, yet the brushed finishing is unmatched!
good luck with yours, please post your log when you do!
I have two EK Cylindrical reservoirs mounted now with REV2 bottoms (Two confirmed reports now that the REV2 bottoms do not fix bleeding issue :( ) Will take pictures during the weekend as I'm away for a development day for the next two days. Bad light now.
Beautiful job men keep going;)
All Photos taken by N95??? :S:S
Nope, just motherboard shots, pump shots, mosfet block shots, case upside down for last feet photo and the radiator grill ones.
Rest were Cannon digital Ixus40 (Work cam) and the powder coated PC343B on white sheet is by Tom @ ChilledPC with some uber camera.
Nice work Mekrel!
I'll be using the same case and will be getting it powder-coated locally. I also ordered some 1/8" sound-proofing material that will line the case as well.

The six hard drives will be mounted in the 80mm fan drive mounts.

This is going to be a fun project!
So Cool!!!
I love this case
Nice looking rig! Added motivation to get my own finished and post some pics (not that I need it).
What level of gloss did you go with on the poweder coating?
I need to get some laser cutting or water jet cutting done on a couple of the annodized panels as well... I'll have to check out that sketchup program... where did you get the DDC pump models from? Also, did you consider water jet cutting vs. laser? Any insights you have on that part of the process would be appreciated.
Wow... no words can describe this quite frankly...
I think that this case was made for a PA120.3. It fits perfectly!
:banana::banana::banana: that looks so freaking great!
Subscribed! BTW: Be careful, mjassbong might get jealous! :D
There are a lot of PC-343 builds under way these days... cool to see after so many MM cases.
It's great to generate new ideas. I can't wait to see this completed. I just wished you guys had all your cases done sooner so I could steal some ideas! :D
Nice, really like all the space and making it black like that is top notch!
A true artisan
Let me say that you have quite the vision and drive. Top that off with the fact its a top notch quality build and you have one of the neatest projects I have seen.
Honestly, it's posts like these that make me want to put a custom water rig together. It's very easy to get lost in a thread like this and look at the pictures for hours. Good job bro, keep kickin' ass!
It looks awesome:yepp:, nice work with painting.
V'Rain,
Here at Jazzle's collection of component models are quite a few pumps, cases, mobos etc.
The free version of Sketchup should be in every modder's armory.
I've used it to good effect.
Damn, i just finished mine... now i want to rip it appart...
very nice indeed!!!
Outstanding thread, pictures and post a joy to read. ;)
Oh and superb job dude, keep it coming :D
Sorry, been away at a team meeting for 2 days.
As for powder coating, I'm not sure as to what level of gloss. I'll ask Tom when I see him on line next.
DDC pump models were from Google Sketchup warehouse, just do a search using some terms and it should come up.
As for water cutting vs laser, the only thing to take into consideration is that the laser kind of de-anodizes panels - so put the piece upside down to cut. For instance there is a very fine line around the edge of my top panel cut that is browny in colour. No problem as the grill covers it.
Really annoyed that I have had no deliveries since I've been away. Royal Mail are a complete joke. Always striking which is the most stupid and old method induced by stupid workers unions.
That's a real drag when you're expecting parts. :(
I'm held up waiting for a psu atm, so can sympathise with you. Emailed to check stock, then paid. Only to get a sorry, you'll have to wait a week message.
Seems some folks don't realise how important this is.
Tell me about it. Im waiting for some primer and paint to do my case (see sig) for a week now. Its a joke. :(
Edit: Just seen this - groan!
BTW - keep up the great work. I love the planning that went into this build.
