First, very nice score  Great work!
I searched the heatpipe, too... It is "modded" or it is the reatail version....?!
:toast:
700FSB isn't far away people, just a matter of time and good C2D batches!
We should make a movie about this, Return of the DFI
:cheer2:
Congrats guys, very nice job/pics/CPU and BOARD.
672.54 is a really cool FSB.
Keep pushing it ;)
Amazing work guys :eek2:
WR?
There's a whole thread here on XS devoted to people posting over 700Mhz.
Am I missing something?
CPU-Z Hall of Fame 0.8
Highest FSB Reached :
- Nº 1 : DFI P35 + Andre Yang reached 672.55 MHz with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850
- Nº 2 : OSKAR reached 666.56 MHz with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850
- Nº 3 : DFI P35 Dual Ch + Andre Yang reached 666.53 MHz with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850
nice results Andre,
any results with quad core would be appreciated....
but ...is there Cpu PLL voltage option in bios,
whats max > Vfsb, Vnb , Vcore, Vdimm in bios...
can you give more bios shots of spread spectrums, transaction boost and so
forth please.....
also for some who don't know PC-ICE = Dave (Cascade/Phase builder).
Breath taking.
NB is normal infinity cooler. We think NB and SB is not hot, so we remove retail cooler.
Here is retail cooler.

Yes you are. The WR is about the highest FSB ever achieved. Booth with single channel and dual channel memory. Dual channel stressed the NB more, so single channel clocks the board higher.
This is no memory WR. The guys with memory WRs were running the 1:2 memory divider mostly, so their FSB was only half of the memory speed.
672 FSB! holy sh**
666 FSB! It's the board from Hell using it's Satanic powers to slay all! (sorry, couldn't resist) and I used to think 500 FSB was pretty good.
no words .......
thanks for sharing and great pics!
I hope these really are available come next week. We will see as I am ready to buy this now with an E6850 and 8800 Ultra.
nice nice , but i have to say this is just like u guys are hyping the board .
there is no improfment to the DFI P965 board , i have to tell u this becaus it bugs me .
u can say what u want but one it looks like a cherry picked board and cpu .
Well, you also run without Digital PWM hatsinks. Is that ok and simple cold to work without jeatsinks?
Also, in the last pic, Heatsink is going out of the case, but I cant see it that long in other pictures. How come is that it goes outside?
It seems that board has 8 SATAs in the front but the panel from behind is really simple.
Thanks André.
sorta yes, sorta no.
They are showing what the board is capable of.
G0 E6850 ES have FSB wall problems.
While it is fun chasing FSB records with the right B1/B2/E0 chip... people are always so quick to blame the board for a FSB problem that is related to the CPU.
I still recommend waiting a few weeks longer for X38.
I think the CPu is a golden one because most of the motherboards probably do as much as this one does but not all CPU's go that higher
hey andre - any word on clock per clock performance on this board compared with other P35's?
No squeezing sound please.
