But , basically, if this is indicative of G0 step heat (or coolness)
then a kentsfield G0 looks like an 'easy' 3.4-3.6 on air on average.
i dont think there will be many retail chips running 4 gig q6600 g0 on air :rolleyes:
but still; im going to be wishing i had a quaddie at some stage...
errr. The way i read that is his core temp is 20c and ambient is 12c. So that would actually make sense. Or is that the point you were trying to make?Quote:

ctemp is reading about 13c ...which seems impossible.
from this it looks to be about 10c under my old 6700.
whether a q6600 g0 will be/is 10c+ less than current q6600...who knows?
the only really reliable temperature measure i have at my disposal is my fingers on the heatsink :lol:
I am certainly hoping temps are very good with the Q6600 G0 because I would be thrilled if I could run even 3.4ghz 24/7 with great temp ranges in the green!
P.S: Got my update from TANK GUYS this evening should be not far off for me...hoo hoo:cool:
well i bought a fluke 52 to try and measure temps at least close to what they should be so as soon as my CPU pops in i will stick a probe on the IHS to get a "close enough" valueQuote:

Temp. is relative...As long as it can clocked like X6800 B1 on air (with double the cores) then its good:)

I didn't know your the first to tell me why he hasn't been here. if those in charge here think he's cheating then they should remove his posts. why should he refute any cheating accusations if he's not cheating. can you say for sure he's been cheating this whole time? XS can't just keep losing important members or else the quality will go down the tubes and this site won't mean anything anymore. you have to remember he didn't post this himself it's not his job to monitor this board that's why there's mods and admins here. We've already lost FCG and others. What if maxxracer, you, kunaak, AndreYang, eva2000, VictorWang, etc all stopped posting there wouldn't be much left.
