Oh, 1 more thing, people with L628Bs, eat your heart out! :p..
J/k... :p...
how much is a E6850 going to be in July?
http://www.hkepc.com/bbs/itnews.php?...dtime=0&page=3
$266. same price as q6600. but afaik, q6600 won't have txt so probably won't be g0
very nice cpu.. :)
OMG indeed!!
small update
with a small voltage increase (1.33vcore set in bios) i am now at 3.8GHz :)
edit, requires a giant 1.35vcore (set in bios)
looks like I'll be giving my parents my e6600 and getting a q6600 or e6750. Unless of course the 6850 has an unlocked multiplier, but that would astound me.
waiting for them to come up~~!
These CPU's are really great. It is a bummer that we dont see coolaler's posts here, but you know why we dont.
Hopefully my post (while not as detailed) is somewhat helpful letting people know of the greatness.
Im currently stable at 3.8GHz on 1.35vcore (set in bios)
Hmm any idea if the Q6600 is going to have the G0 stepping?
But this and the E6850 look absolutely amazing. The G0's look like winners
whats the highest clock right now for the E6850?
I hope its well over 4.8Ghz
On air you can pull about 4.25 or so.

This is max , better get those cpu's fast !! also how are the temps ?
i'll be looking for 6550+p5K+crucial ballistix package deal :hehe: cheap and nasty
lol give me $266 dollars LOL. Joking of course. Idk when i'm going to get it because my july money is going for new case and ballistix tracer memory (PC2-8500) then my august money is going towards my birthday gift which is going to see one of my favorite bands in concert and Maybe September's money will pickup a QX6850 or E6850, Which ever is a reasonable price at the time.
warboy your current rig is good enough.. lol dont see the need why you want to upgrade :P :P
QX6850...>266usd.

i thought e6850 was 9x
i think their is an e6800 with 11x planned for release....i'm sure i'll be corrected if i'm wrong.
Hey irev :)
You bring good news to us all man :) Cheers :)
However, can you test if that 3.8G is Orthos stable? I have had CPUs doing dual 32M preety easily with low volts, but not orthos stable even with 0.1V higher.
Regards,
Karan
PS: Its impressive non-the-less :) :D
