Really Nice for L709A
...imagine about your another chip that made fsb 605...benching on spi 1M
Very nice tweaking
Thx Flo :)
@Savoy: this E6600 can boot @580*9; I'm pretty sure it's 590-600FSB capable with a little bit more cold. I've tested 3 E6600 L709A under water & cascade (I need to sale 5 ATM). One of those did 605FSB. :)
Here's a Spi 32M done this afternoon. The cascade didn't allow me to do another run; it must be sub-10mins at these clocks. :shakes:
I'm gonna change the 2nd stage compressor for a bigger one (13,000Btu/h instead of 10,000Btu/h) to give this stage a better flow. :( It can't handle the load without making me crazy. Also; I'm considering using only R50 into 3rd stage because the R1150 is really :banana::banana::banana:ty at this point.

Wow, sweet results :)
Strapp modification still impressive :D
Did you use other optimisation or just strapp modif?
Once more u prove your tweaking skilz  , that time (on Asus mobo) if we consider ram settings and capacity is amazing.
Great job before!
I wouldn't use just R50 on it's own in stage 3. It has no capacity on its own. I would mix it with some R1150 or use maybe R14.
Thank you guys :toast:
Yea; but not enough... :yepp:
Thx buddy. I've already tested R50/R1150 mixture and it wasn't really interesting... at least that's what I've concluded. Observation might have been wrong because the main problem is the 2nd stage ATM.
Also, I did few things with R50 only into low stage and despite a really awfull HP, chip temparature was incredible at 300w of load. (-122C idle with the E6600 5.1GHz @1.79v; dunno what was evap temp but about -135C is probable)
before
are you changing strap on P965 chipset without resetting the mobo
there seems to be a possibility to do this with P35 chipset but P965 would be awesome man
Well, yes, it is really awesome :D.
It was explained in another thread (NewBeetle's sub9 1M) - this is the "golden thread" - http://www.ixtremtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76 ;). French forum but screens are enough to understand what to do :).
@before: if You can, tell us please, what exactly You are changing? The 8-bit version or 32-bit and what addresses?
From my little tests with 32-bit version, the first and last in top row is easy to change (490 FSB 1M with 1,25V @ NB was enough for me althought I can't get stable FSB 400 @ "normal" 1066 with 1,25V).
The 8-bit version (all tweaks) was stable in Blend Test FSB 500 @ 1,45V NB.
I'm still testing of course ;).
Great result before:up:
Thank you. :)
Yea; that's a strap mod on the fly. :D Of course, it should be done on P35; but values might be very different from those corresponding to P965.
It seems me you did the right things then :D I'm using 8-bits version to mod FED14030, FED14040 and FED14050 addresses. The credit belongs to JP; not to me in anyway. ;)
Good heaven, these L709A are amazing... 5.2GHz benchable under cascade is definitely great. I don't have enough money to try this one under LNē; but with R50 and a bigger 2nd stage compressor... it should be awesome.

Fast time, but a bit slow I think.... :p: I've to try it again with tighter timings, and may be a little bit more Vcore.
Very nice Xavier...that's equalling 12x 2:3.
Too bad you can't use LN2, that chip seems like a real winner. :(
Thanks my friend :)
Yea; it looks like 2:3... And I guess it could be 9.66s instead of 9.68s with tighter timings.
Heh that tRTP is
:yepp: :D
That was a run for testing... now I know 5.2GHz is possible. :p:
Nice =)
I'm about to contact you @ those chips, saw your sales thread.. (I've send an invitation on MSN.. :) )
What kind of OC did you get under water?
I have a L709A442, haven't oc'ed much but I just got my apogee GTX in.
This P5B is well good mine did not give more than 522 of FSB. Congratulations.
Good luck with Vmodding :)

 Great job Xavier (as always)
Thank you Eric! :toast:
I've done a nice mixture for 3rd stage:
trying from 77% of R50 + 23% of R1150 at 13Bars HP
to 71.5% of R50 + 28.5% of R1150 at 14Bars HP
And now; it works better; not great but I can do some interesting things.

A E6600 at 5.3GHz under cascade is very sweet! :p: The best was 5315MHz but it froze...
