its kind of a blast from the past but i figured this kit was so good that it deserved a small update. i found myself in possession of another pair of PC2-9200 Reapers this weekend for a build so i figured i would see what 4X1GB would do on the P5B-Dlx, i was pleasantly surprised:

I think the best heatspreader is...remove it and put into it a 120cfm DELTA...;). Hope some day memory makers take off this fancy HS and low price a bit.

my kits have long since moved on. OCZ has also likely changed ICs on these modules 5 time over so the information in my thread is likely irrelevant at this point. these modules i reported on here were all D9 Micron but i have no idea what OCZ is using on these now.Quote:

the highest i could get them stable at 5-5-5-18 2.120v is 1206MHz most likely its the dividers on my dfi lanparty p35. adding voltage only made the system reboot as soon as it got to windows. then at 6-6-6-18 at 1.958v that let me boot to windows at 2075MHz but in no way was it stable. with these chips i'm not going for tight timings at higher overclock. i'm just going for high overclock, even though the performance is terrible.:brick:
1400 C5 is just nuts, i'm not saying it isn't possible. but not with this ram. at this point i was able to get up to 1275 C6 and more testing will prove if it can do more. :shrug:Quote:
