Tempted to grab some of this ram but guys with P5B Deluxe board how high can they go super pi 32M with such tight sub timings
i.e. P5B Deluxe
irev210, would the crucial 8000 handle such tight timings better than these 8500s ?Quote:
DDRAM CAS# Latency: 4
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay: 4
DRAM RAS# Precharge: 4
DRAM RAS# Activate to Precharge: 4
DRAM Write Recovery Time: 3 or 4
DRAM TRFC: 20 to 30
DRAM TRRD: 3
Rank Write to Read Delay: 9 to 10
Read to Precharge Delay: 5 to 9
Write to Precharge Delay: 9 to 10
looking to hit the 600mhz mark with such timings :D
The 8500 should do better than the 8000's now as they have replaced them as Crucial's highest bin.
However, one thing I should mention is that from my own experience with two sets of PC8000 Ballistix on my P5B, I could not run timings as tight as I could on my Cellshock's or my OCZ sticks. Probably just the sticks I had being picky, but I figured I'd mention it. irev would know best though as he's had more sets of Ballistix than there are members on this board. :p:
very nice,is there any shops selling this to ship internationally?
i want some of these bad boys:slobber:
also are the 6400 kits clocking well too?
I told ya the 8500 Ballistix are the best sticks out! They are binned for 1.8ns, vs 2.0ns on the 8000's.
updated the first post with some shots at 4-4-4 :toast:
and technically it's 1.876ns, but close enough :D :D :D
You could order them directly from Crucial UK, but they are expensive

I am getting a pair aswell, but it seems like I need a new board to max them out ;)
My P5W doesnt like to run ram higher than 540Mhz.
are these the newer 8500 ballistix that uses a lower volt chip or something or it is just purely diff with a 1.8ns binned? :)
https://www.priceguidenetwork.com/home.php sell them for a very nice price and do ship world wide ,, for a group order (say 5 kits) shipping will be about 10$ per kits

:slobber: how does it do at CAS 4?
nice Quentin, very nice :D
i wish my system could go that high and stay stable :(
Holy crap, 676MHz! That's awesome! My memory controller would explode before it even gets close to that. :explode:
