i ordered my phase kit last year been 6months still not arrived:mad:
and i never like water cooling so either air or phase is my choice.

OT: I water cooled for 3 years. I had the modded case, LR Cascade, big radiator, custom hand-made reservoir, and dual 120mm fans. Tubing was going everywhere and I could hear it across my house. Frankly, though it was fun for a while and the performance was outstanding, the hassles grew annoying. Air is quite simply more convenient and pretty damn effective these days.
agree with aldamon ;)
well my 44g sucks, it wont pass more then a minute of orthos at 395x8 which my week 29B 6400 would do 35 hours at 1.38v, trying at 380x8 with 1.45v and see what it does
looks like this is the bad week apparently
this is on a S3, gskill HZ, 9700 air cooling
How come those require so much voltage? My E6400 is Orthos-stable at 3.2GHz with ~1.235v, might even work well with lower voltage. :F
My E6320 is a dog. Won't do over 3.2GHz regardless of voltage. I tried my E6600 in my QuadGT mobo and it cold boots 515 X 7 fine. Haven't tried higher yet.
I take it back. I am over 3.4 now. I guess I gave up on the E6320 too early-

It does 3150MHz without vcore increases fine. 3465MHz takes 1.53v to hold. More vcore doesn't get me a thing and that seems to be its limit.
I got a new 6420 from Newegg last night. L649G590. Thought I was maxed at 3.2 Ghz cause that was about the most 1.4v would get me. I broke into 3.5 land by pushing vcore to 1.53v. Still playing.
I would imagine the one he is selling...

E6420 L649G590
DDR2 1083
BIOS voltage 1.525v, vdroop pencil modded.
Still working on this one, needs more voltage that I expected, temps are still ok though. Watercooled, parts listed in my sig. My 6300 did about 3570 24/7, hoping to get close. 1M SuperPI 14.438 at this speed, my 6300 was a second and a half slower at 3570.

6420@3.2ghz 1.280V
L644G475
not bad... still testing, need better cooling. boxed cooler on this one. Temps at 50-52 after 2 hours orthos blend.
ok guys, here is my results for the past 9 hours of OCing!!
i have 2 E6320 chips to test, & choose one!
(*) L648G421 SLA4U
(*) L649G754 SLA4U
so far, both cihps have done +6 hours of orthos Large FFT's @ 3.15GGHz 7x450MHz 1.4v (set in BIOS) & SpeedFan show a drop of 0.07v to 0.06v @ load! temps are ~52C for both cores under load.
right now, testing the 2nd chip @ 3.325GHz 7x475MHz with the same 1.4v i used before. temps are ~55C for both cores under load.
hardware used:
ASUS P5N-E SLI w/ 0602 BIOS - no mods..
Trancend 512MB DDR2-667 running unlinked 667MHz (only for testing the CPU speed, didn't get any RAM ATM!)
Stock Intel C2D HSF w/ cheap thermal paste
Stock ASUS NB HS with a 60mm fan on it
Spire 600W PSU
All settings in BIOS left for Auto, except the vcore, FSB & Divider!
more pics for backing-up my words will come soon, but 1st i want to find the Max i could squize from these babes with the Stock HSF & Amb. temp of 26C, so rest assured!
This is slightly off topic but it helps to see how the newer 4mb Cache C2Ds are performing.
Its not the E6320 or E6420 that are needing more Vcore to be stable at Orthos compared to earlyE6300, E6400 or E6600. I have a new E6700 and its one of the most power hungry Conroe I have ever seen. Needs 1.625Vcore set bios, 1.59 Windows to so over 1hr Orthos 8k ffts priority 3. Air cooled with TT Big Typhoon

This is a bad joke, really....:shakes:
Currently testing E6420 (L707) and E6320 (E705). They seem to be hitting FSB walls at 470FSB. Trying with two P5N-E SLIs. Highest voltage is 1.45, going to try 1.55 tomorrow. The E6420 both are stable at 3.2GHz. I can boot the 6420 at 3.4GHz, 3.6 is probably no go. Going to try somewhere in between tomorrow. Also have a Q644 E4300 i haven't opened yet.
ok guys, here is a quick update for those who are interested :)
i've ran Orthos SMALL FFT's on both. RAM used is the GSKILL 2GB DDR2-800 HZ @ 800MHz.
E6320 L649G754 @ 7x450MHz 1.35v in BIOS & STOCK HSF!

for some odd reason the L648 runs cooler by 2C lol! (used white silicon grease for both)
i didn't try to run them with lower vcore, i do not have much time, maybe they can do it @ lower volts. i'll try to test them.
i still have another E6320 chip waiting for a run, it's L711A373 in case anyone of you interested, i can do some tests.
I finally got mine running at 3.5ghz(500x7)@1.5v on my Gigabyte DQ6. Check sig.
E6420 Es @3700
Got amazingly crap
E6420
Package date = 05/03/07 (Malaysia)
SLA4T
Standard voltage = 1,35V
max Clock with standard voltage = 2,8G
(3G boot with 1,35V not possible)
Don't buy these modells.
Might have gotten a crap one as well with E6420 L707A323. Hit a big wall at only 377 MHz, even at 1.6v while running at 8x376 ran very cool and very stable. Might be something else but the E4300 on the same board is able to run at 9x400
If nothing help, I might consider returning it and get another one.
E6420 L644 @ 3.1G 1.45v Load ~40C more volts don't help much..........
