My pots :)
By my opinion it is better to work with brass and cu.
can you please elaborate on that
i am going to buy one of his pots to give it a go and tossing up whether i should go brass or alu on the tube side as he can make them thicker than copper tube (twice as thick as copper one 1.5mm/3.0mm)
i reckon brass braised with copper pot base :)
@dinos22: I can tell you thet there is completely no problem with CU/ALU ;)
Best Regards
Ok I did some air cooling moding of Cooler Master Hyper TX, he has cu base, cu heat pipes, and al plate above pipes , aka sendvich bottom: cu>hp<al :top.
Al after some time ;)

As u can see there was oxidation, on AIR only, so in my case better go with brass and cu, when u go from -xxxC to +xxC on the pot will be condensation, armaflex will be wet on some places.... And water between cu/al is bad combination in my cases. Even on air in ome cases it is bad . Thats why I built only solid cu pots
Then I remove it and put AS5 for better heat removing

sorry for quality :(
Nice Jobs
Any idea when you can have some results, so we can compare ALU and CU
In my dryice tests under 160w load aluminium containers have performed systematically quite bad. Difference between aluminium and copper version is about 20c which practically means that any moderate brazed copper cpu container will outperform those shining "solid aluminium monsters".
I think aluminium has its place in gpu containers because its hard to find square profile copper and making proper brazed copper with small dimensions is bit tricky.
What about a solid copper base and alu tube though? What type of difference would that make?
Also, how did you thread the pot?
i think a cu base with alu tube would be better.. the cu could hold the temps well and the alu yea.. imo it has to be either all solid or at least base solid... i've got one comin my way too! Woo!
some tests with dry ice @ copper base and alu pipe POT :D:D:D
