Anyone have a towel? I seem to have made a mess over here ;) :yepp:
wooow.. great so far...
I font some time to work on the case again. ;)
There is the possible to place two psu’s in this case. One at the bottom I and one in the top. I gone use the one in the top. So I start to make a whole new back. From Plexiglas and aluminum.
First part is from paper.

In the bottom part will come 2 x 80mm casefans.

Making the First part from acrylic

Some sanding work.
http://need-modding.nl/Foto/ELL2/39.JPG
Cut out the inner part.
http://need-modding.nl/Foto/ELL2/40.JPG
Also some sanding work.
http://need-modding.nl/Foto/ELL2/41.JPG
Last part by hand.
http://need-modding.nl/Foto/ELL2/42.JPG
That’s fit.

Ready for polishing.
See you soon.
It's a PC-A70!! The case I'm looking to order right now. Could you take some measurements for me? Please? I'm trying to figure out how much room there is for a Thermochill 120.2 behind those two front fans. I figured to remove the HDD cage and that fan pillar like you did. I hope I won't have to cut the bottom to fit it in. Here are the dimensions for the 120.2.

I've been touting this case all over the place but haven't actually seen one yet.

Wow
glad to see this project back to life
@CyberDruid, ;)
@Etherwolf, the first screw. 21mm from the bottom from the case. Sorry, only cut out the bottom to place the radiator like I did.
Continue with the backside from the case. I think the out take at the back make some noise with all the holes. So I take it out.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/46.JPG
Out is one part. To vile is the second part.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/47.JPG
It must be straight so I need a line to see how far I can go.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/48.JPG
And than sweating.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/49.JPG
First part ready.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/50.JPG
Next part the acrylic.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/51.JPG
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/52.JPG
That’s something to handle with care. I won’t broke the small part acrylic.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/53.JPG
See you soon. ;)
Thanks Ediejo! Maybe I can find a radiator that will fit without cutting the bottom. If not I can mount a 120.3 in the top panel.
Thanks again!!
Do you think this might work up front?

And are you going to place a simple grill over that exhaust you cut out?

Continue with the Plexiglas. Drawing the holes for the PSU.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/54.JPG
I saw it a little bigger than the aluminum. So the last part by hand and Dremel
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/55.JPG
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/56.JPG
Then polishing the edges.

http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/62.JPG
I cut the part that I need with the dremel.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/63.JPG
The last part with the scroll-saw.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/64.JPG
Looks much better than with the slots upstairs the psu.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/65.JPG
It’s not 100% ready but it fit well. There is some work to do.

See you soon.
wow nice.
Another amazing case mod. Keep up the good work
Yes, it's a PC-A70. I just recently got one myself, after they finally became available in Australia.
Though it is a little different to the one Ediejo is modding; the rear fan port has a wire grill, and the back exhaust port next to the PCI brackets has long holes, instead of round holes.
And it's only either silver or black (unless you paint it)
here's the rear of my PC-A70, so you can see how it's different:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...PC-A70rear.jpg
I've cut 3 fan holes for a PA120.3 at the top, and I'll be putting some holes in the motherboard tray for wire management:
http://www.tech-forums.net/pc/f10/ca...72/index2.html
Though the mods I'm doing are not nearly as major as the ones Ediejo is doing. This is the first case I've started to mod.
it's approx 22 6/8" tall, 23 3/16" long, and 8 5/8" wide. That's what I measured.Quote:
What are the dimensions of this case?
@troisanh, thanks.
@bball4ever39, i hope so. It’s only the beginning. A lot can go wrong. ;)
@Apokalipse, there is some different between your case and my. That’s why lian li give me this one at the Cubit. It was not in production at that time. Good luck with your case and mod. ;)
I forgot to post a picture with some light behind it. Just for the idea. This are ccfl’s but I go for led’s.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/77.JPG
2 parts to go. One big part for the case and a part for the promo. ;)
looking good, nice idea for the illuminated panels. I liked it ;)
@leo bsb, I like it also. I hope I can make the back part as I want.
Today starting with a big vile and sanding job.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/78.JPG
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/79.JPG
That’s fit.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/80.JPG
Some drawing for the part I must saw.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/81.JPG
This is not so hard to saw.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/82.JPG
But this is really exciting to saw so close to the edge.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/83.JPG
Last part of it I will do it with file and sanding paper.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/84.JPG
Remove a part from the case and place the Plexiglas on his place. It fits nice with the side panel.
http://ediejo.nl/Foto/ELL2/85.JPG
The left side looks terrible but it’s so close to the edge to saw. So I keep that part for the file and the sanding paper. When I saw it so close to the edge, I think it will break when I do some work at it.

See you soon.
