I got a Opty 1214 yesterday, but it turned out to be an F2 and not F3 as I hoped and like the one Lamika has. So I do not get much higher than 3100MHz on air cooling with 26C room temps. Hope the next Opty I buy will be F3 revision.

They're floating around on eBay too (search for 'opteron 121* he'), may be my only chance to get one as I live in UK. Newegg is cheaper tho :(
A nice CCB8F 1210 HE is what I need - affordable, overclockable as hell (probably), and 2x1mb cache would make a world of difference to my 3d modelling apps. It's a shame no companies on eBay nowadays can tell you the stepping they're selling you :(
No need to hope - all F3 revision opterons have the suffix 'HE' (for 'high-efficiency') in their name, and 'CZ' (F3) instead of 'CU' (F2) at the end of their model number. Look for either of those signs and you've got yourself an F3.Quote:
