Thank you :) I just need to know - it's left or right resistor since the arrow point at the right resistor but it looks like the wire is at the left one :stick:

hipro5, thank you :) I got it.
I'm going to hit 550Mhz.... the root cause is EVGA guys... they show me SuperPi on 545MHz (water) and no strap even at 480Mhz with bios v28....

49ns.?.....That high?..... :D
Wish you luck......Even with the 1066 Strap, you could easy hit ~490MHz+....;)
Hi,
I Just done this Mod, and it doesn't work.
Be careful, this scheme is not the same on the first post from Hipro5, the red/green dot is not at this location.
This cut out 2 core of the Quad (only 2 detected 0/1) the 2/3 data bus is then short circuited to ground.
I've redone the mod with the scheme on the first post. So I could retreive the 2 other cores, but I cannot boot when I set over 0.85V.
When the mod is not "ON" (only red line), I measure 0.78V at this point (red) and 1.56V at the blue or green point. Is that OK ?
I think the 0.78V is correct.
But when the mod is connected, I cannot boot when I trim over 0.85V.
Do you trim this voltage when you are at the BIOS screen ? or in windows ? (idle or full load ?)
in any case, the mod don't seem to work well.
I could go from 350 FSB to 355 with 0.85V, but that is ont what I hope.
Could you help me ?
I've found another mod on vr-zone :
http://sg.vr-zone.com/articles/abit_...d/4677-17.html
this mod need to remove the CMS resistor. Do you think I could test it without damaging the board ?
thanks
Up !!
Hipro5, could you help me ?
Thanks
Resistor removal MUST be done so the mod to work ok.....BUT don't expect to see a huge gain in fsb with the QUADs out of i680... :)
Hi Hipro5,
Thanks for the help.
I hope to go at least up to 385 or 390 of FSB.
So I will go to the vr-zone Mod and remove 4 resistors (GTLRef 0 to GTLRef 3  ).
I will update if it work and if the board always works
Thanks
(How did you able to boot with 1.2V with your mod ? your board is better than mine !!)
Also, when did you measure the voltage ? (idle, so into windows ?)
OK, the mod works now.
It stabilize also the Ram (able to oc the ram too)
only few gain : from 358 to 368 FSB.
thanks.
