Those temps aren't nearly as bad as mine. At stock Vcore, mine loads around 75C. At 1.4775V (1.38V@Load measured through uGuru), mine jumps to 99C pulling 140 amps. This is with Zalman Super Thermal Grease on the PWM's.

A couple of us who bought this board from e-wiz are having some trouble. I can't get mine to turn on with 3 cpus (965EE, X6800, QX6700) two sets of ram (cheap wintec ampo DDR2 800, buffalo firestix DDR2 800) 3 video cards (ATI X1950Pro, 7600GT, pci video card) and two PSU's, one of which is an enermax 535w. All parts have been confirmed to work just fine on a Bad Axe 1.

Before sending it back I want to make sure that it's not the starting voltage for the ram holding it back, but nobody else has mentioned this problem that the DS3 originally had as well.

first time i booted this mobo i did with a pair of 6400c4 rated at 2.1 and the board booted up at 1.8 and worked fine , changed after ofcourse

I've had the board a few days from Ewiz and no problems. Gskill HZ's and booted right up.

I like it better then the DS3 and if they fix some of the problems it will be a very good mb.

Downloaded Orthos many times but always get "can not find WORKER.DLL". Any help on this, never had this before.

I'm not sure if I like digital pwm anymore. On the IN9 it ran really hot, and active cooling is almost a must if you want to push it. BTW what are voltage options for this board? If it's anything like the commando, it would be nice.

You got a Quad, that's why it draws 140 amps!! My one draws like 75 amps under peak load!! but why is it dropping the voltage that much? 1,4775V gives me something like 1,44/1,45 under load...I bet it's because it draws less power, so less voltage gets away on the "resistances"...

Digital PWN is cool, but its a gimmick. In the end you have to be careful as it gets hot, and when pushed to its max (See: voltmods) it isn't as good at running out of spec as most current analougle PWM's. Of course im not saying this is the rule, but this is what i have seen from it so far.

At idle (59 amps), mine still only pumps out 1.42V at 1.4775V and runs at about 45C. Maybe I have a weird board?

Yeah I'm RMA'in at the wiz. I just got another board, a cheapo Asus PT890 (VIA) chipset board, and it boots all chips all PSU's all sticks just fine. Oh wellers, sending it back today. I really want this to work this time, hopefully.

I know I won't get one until they have a solid BIOS. It's either this or the DFI Infinity 965. I've never owned anything other than epox (crap for oc'ing), biostar, asus and now gigabyte. I've read ABIT has problems with support because of "internal issues" whatever that means.

I remenber when the RD600 came out saw a few ones having tons of problems and saw other one's with none , and same with commando,stricker, etc etc , kinda liek a matter of luck or something , iam very pleassure with my QUADGT i meant very, best board i have so far even with beta bios i can still boot at 500fsb keeping the 1067 strap , best benching board i ever had, hopefully abit is working on the bios to fix the memory limitation, anyway i like low latency no looking to run 1200mhz 5-5-5 better running 1000mhz 4-4-4-8 or 800mhz 3-3-3-12

you said right in your post, it's because of the 1066 strap.

Think about it, this board on 1066 strap clocks just like 975 does on 1066 strap. Only it makes it easier to hit higher FSB's. In the end this board could be a force to be reconed with if the extreme guys find it... 500mhz 1:1 3-3-3 benching at 5hz with the 1066 strap would be sick.

Anyways, i have one of these on the way... hopefully the bios issues get worked out soon enough...

Maybe because Abit has not been much since NF7. I thought I would never own another Abit after the last couple but this board I like. If they fix the few problems I would love it.

Is there a cooler than will attach to the PWM? I would love to replace the NB cooler, but I want something that will also cool the PWMs.

I think I am going to go with a waterblock for my NB.

This is what I was going to use on my PWMs. Only $14.... pretty cheap.

Or I could go crazy and watercool the PWMs.

What kind of good air coolers are around for the NB?
