I agree. With boards like the commando and quadgt out now it doesnt make too much sense for someone with phase to deal with all those caps.Quote:

I really wish someone would make a board with the right PCIE switch, that way we could have 16-0-4 or 8-8-4 instead of 16-4.
when is it available
I thought the Infinity was out 6 months ago?
It was for a different chipset.Quote:

Never happen I guess, although seems to me some years back there was a similar idea put forth with some success?Quote:

Wasn't it a chipset limitation or is there any 965 board that does a decent SLI (with modded drivers) or Xfire? Otherwise I don't see a reason to use 16-4, same as on p5b dlxQuote:

Oh yeah - The two black ones are hard to see.Quote:

The issue is the use of an expensive PCIE switch, not the chipset. Intel told us at the XUG 965 was capable of 8X8 and IMO it should be faster than 975 due to the chipset being that bit newer etc.Quote:

well how expensive is expensive
Any P965 MoBo can do this overclock ... nothing special on that MoBo. Commando is better for the same price, has great accessories and excellent same OC potential.
Ya, sure http://www.csd.dficlub.org/pgpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=460 :stick:Quote:
