Cant really run Rainbow Six Vegas in 64 bit Vista maybe cuz of my videocard 7950 GX2? Was thinking trying out the 32 bit to check out Rainbow Six Vegas.
Rainbow six vegas works fine here :S
Nice, it works here to but the graphics suck is this another rip-off version? Like Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter, the Xbox 360 was a 3rd person shooter while PC was kind of crappy first person shooter. The graphics don't seem as good as the pictures I see.
yeah im afraid so :(
cod2 mp works for me.. you have to set compatability mode to xp sp2.. and turn off aa or af.. one of those in the game menu.. and you can turn on all those features in your control panel.. i have an 88gts.. graphics are kinda choppy til proper vista drivers come out
No, seems we didn't get the screwed version of Rainbow Six Vegas I got the IQ in Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit and performance was pretty good. Working on Windows Vista Ultimate 64 now, also we have bad drivers still it crashed when I set the resolution to 16x12 so I had to use 12x9.

^ That looked a LOT better in the PS3 screens...
winning eleven (pro evolution 5 & 6), warcraft III frozen throne .. both working very well :)
Well its not running at all high detais since I'am using 1 7950 GX2 only 1 GPU is working waiting on Nvidia to release better drivers, also screen resolution it's at 12x9. Go check out some screens being run with the 8800s in widescreen.Quote:

as to the no oc'ing graphics card in vista,i have flashed my card with these clocks-
core-570mhz
mem-1400mhz
with complete succes.

Anyone able to run Dark Messiah on Windows Vista I can't seem to get it to run, it closes after the title screen.:slapass:
I made Dark Messiah work under Windows Vista you need to lower down the texture quality, it will still crash at times I manage to beat it and watched all 4 endings good game bit short awsome graphics and physics.
Edit: Also Halo: Combat Evolved works like charm like if it was built for Vista it even shows up in Game Explorer in Windows Vista.
Rainbow Six: Vegas IQ increased big time with the new 8800 GTS 640 MB I had a 7950 GX2.
Cascades runs, and looks awsome runs better than other demos, here's some pictures I'am a free user of photobucket so the quality is decreased from 1680x1050 to 1024x768 sorry for that quality.:slapass:

Oblivion has a nice performance boost in Vista. I don't like the game, but hey, at least it has a performance boost! :P
Any update about COD2 MP running in vista? Running stuff in compatibility mode just bugs me.. and turning off AA would drive me nuts. I never used to use it because of the performance hit but once I got my X1900XT I could enable it - now I feel like I can't live without it :p:
My only gaming experiences so far,
BF2142 with XP gets a lot more FPS it seems although I haven't tested it. With the same HW config, and SW settings in BF2142 I can barley play in Vista and it looks fine in XP. I'm thinking the problem is from Memory though, Right now I just have 1gb of DDR2, i'm RMA'ing my patriot kit, and I know vista requires a lot more ram then XP?
Another problem I had w/ bf2142, after I DL'd new cat 7.2's for XP, with vista installed on a diff partition on the same HD, I couldnt get the game to load any map with out crashing to the desktop. Its the only thing that changed, reverting back to old drivers didnt solve the problem, even w/ driver cleaner. I also tried:
-chkdsk /r
-deleting BF2142 my doc's
-un-installing/reinstalling the game (un-installing manually also in reg & files)
-scanned for viruses/spyware
-ran dial a fix
-tried omega drivers
-tried setting all HW to default settings (no OC)
Nothing would fix this problem, and there is no Fix according to EA. So at this point I just RE-formated the HD and attempted to 1st install vista, BF2142 worked fine, except very choppy and bad quality. So I tried to put XP on a seperate partition, now.. NO getting past BIOS "ACPI controller" as long as that HD is plugged in... its 1am I'm sick of messing with this thing, im going to wipe the HD again in the morning and install each OS on its own drive to isolate problems better:(
Wow, I'm almost a little jealous of you ati people.
I've got a 7900gs, and in win2k3, I can run 1280x1024 with all settings maxed (read 4x msaa, 16x af), and running the stress test, it's only ever under 100fps during the spinning texture section, where the lowest it falls to is 69fps, and averages roughly 80fps during that section, and 140-300fps elsewhere. Overall, it averages 150fps.
By contrast, in vista, if I try to do similar (4x msaa, trillinear), during the spinning section, I only get 30-40fps, and 70-140fps elsewhere. The overall reported is about 45fps. Completely unplayable. If I turn off aa, I can get 70fps average for the entire thing, but still ridiculous. I've tried all sorts of drivers, and vista nuked itself again, which was the last straw. I've removed the vista partition and don't intend on going back ever, if I can help it.
Promising outlook on not having to go with vista; dx10 for xp(download it & try out the dx10 sdk demos): http://xtremesystems.org/forums/show...=139208&page=2
i've run these games on Vista Home Premium 32 bit and 64 bit with no problem. just install and play. each game ran higher FPS in vista. (small amount)
