The main goal of ISF is to demonstrate a game engine that can generate n-number of threads, depending on the number of cores present (1,2,4,8, etc.). More cores enables more helper threads to be spawned, so more onscreen "actors" can be in the scene while maintaining playable frame rate.

Thanks for the info. That "V8" system is looking good... :)
I ran the demo. It's an interesting CPU test. In low quality mode the lowest FPS I saw was 47, and the highest 181. In high quality mode lowest FPS I saw was 16 and highest was 58 FPS.

We've got a couple of V8 systems here at XS. Need to get a better VC, though. :)
i think this game needs an big l2 cache, because an e6400 3.2ghz scores way lower then e6600 at 3.6ghz
