I`m loving Kris (FCG) article over at TTR..REAL engineering! I like it :D
Nice work Roger, cannot wait to see results.
Thank you Fugger and VIP lot of information from Intel.
GTL mod can help to FSB for Conroe? Or only Kentsfield?
What about say Fsb wall?
Is this a one off, or can you expect subsequent meetings in the future?
To have Intel exclusively fly you in, that is the shiznit :D
Nice. I am excited to see what Intel will come up with next time in their future product releases...
Thanks FUGGER, Intel and VIP's, looks like Intel have no intention of making the same mistakes twice  :woot:
exciting :D
Yeah, wondering about the same thing too. And, is it only for 975x? What about P965?Quote:

Thanks to Fugger and the involved XIP's for representing the Enthusiast and XS ofcouse.
Also HUGE HUGE thanks to intel...This is a big step I think. I wonder if there could be something we as XS as a whole could do to thank intel for this opportunity. Maybe we could write a thank you e-mail or something with with our Screen names on it. Just food for thought...
Oh and one more suggestion....next time take me with you! :D haha
It was an awesome experiance for us all and thanks, Intel checks in here often and you just told them yourself.
Now that I am feeling much better, now that I am feeling better more updates to come.
Any results of the GTL mod yet?
There will be results posted soon I suppose.
The effect of the mod seems to be really good for quadcores and most likely dual core cpus will benefit from it aswell.

PS
Up to this mod the maximal FSB frequency was 420Mhz, but it was not stable.
It was rock stable at 415.
Great job Big_Sam! Thanks for sharing...
Where we can see the mod?Quote:

I can show points for connection...
These are points for connection with central contracts of VR resistors:

This is a point for Vtt contract:

And I think that you can find the ground without my help. :)
Thanks mate :)
Thanks for sharing Fugger.
The GTL voltage tweak is really something to look forward to, and Kris has it laid out perfect on the TTR. Hadn't seen a guide to P5B-del yet though, thanks Big_Sam :)
Yesterday I have made EVGA 680i VGTL mod.
Has received FSB boost about 70Mhz with mine Q6600 with all four cores.
