Cell Shock Pc 8000 c4 With EPP on Test

I ordered my cellshock from memory-configurator on Fri PM and it was at my Long Beach, Ca. door today at 10:30AM :fact: :woot:

DDR2 at DDR1 like timings, very nice! 3-3-3-4 is definetly great!

We will be carrying this now. I've got a thread going on my forms for requests for the first round of orders.

I've been working hard with Cell Shock on this. The stumbling block was shipping costs, and the relatively week exchange between the Euro and the Dollar - my cost on this memory is roughly the same in Euros as my cost for other memory is in dollars, so this memory ends up costing roughly 30% more.

Due to popular demand, however, we'll be carrying the memory - so hopefully that's good news for some :)

so how much will the Cl4 8000 end up costing? in US$?
and the Cl5 8000?

Retail in EU is euro 370 for C4 and 319 for C5.

online its only 328EU for the C4 and 275EU for the C5

Not according to my Cell Shock rep. He said those kits use the listed chip types, exclusively, and that they will never change chip types within a model range. So according to him, the 1000mhz 5-5-5-15 should be guaranteed GKX as well :)

UPDATE: I just heard from our Cell Shock rep, and he mentioned that some early versions of these kits did use the D9GMH, so there are some of those floating around - but all new kits use the GKX.

I will get them, but I'm basing my first purchase on interest from the various forums. So if you see a kit that you definitely want, let me know so I can make sure to order enough. If, for example, nobody says they're interested in a particular kit, I won't order any.

Well I wont buy any memory now but the PC8000C5 is the most interesting one for sure with that price it will be the cheapest GKX + you get the 8 layer PCB for free

I got the PC8000C5 2Gig kit a couple of weeks back for £234 in Uk. Cant really test them out yet still waiting for new mobo:mad:

hehe yup thats what I thought too because before I bought my kits I had emailed :toast:

My sticks didn`t come with EPP profiles, now i`ve got to RMA for spd reprogramming:mad:

CellShock is awesome! Bought a 2x1GB DDR1 set for a friend only yesterday, popped them in, they went straight to 280MHz pretty stable (UCCC as far as I see?)

the ddr1 is 6 layer pcb yeah they are UCCC :toast:

only their ddr2 are 8 layer :D

Not as good as my G.Skill HZ UCCC's I had (292MHz prime95 > 24 hours stable), but they are pretty damm good for the UCCC thats selling right now.

@boblemagnifique: gratz on results, extreme performance at tight latencies, but 1 question,why does it keep showing PC6400 in your CPUZ shots? Is it the PC8000 or PC6400 kit??

SPD is programmed near to JEDEC specs (800C5) to prevent boot- and compatibility problems - thats why it says pc-6400 in cpuz. check everest for full SPD programming information ;)
800 and 1000C5 as well as 1000C4 are programmed 800C5/533C4/400C3 in main SPD

either use EPP profiles or tweak by hand in bios ;)
