Any word on a new P5B-DLX Bios yet?

You know what people, I have something I really want to say: I mostly spent my time at another forum as it was the first forum that I've joined, and have well over 2100 posts, however the people over there are :banana::banana::banana::banana:y, belligerent, and most of the time just respond to a post so there post count goes up. I cant stand it that when I post a question there and get freaking retarded replies, and "NOOBIES" that type crap that makes no sense.

Becoming a member here has led me to learn A NEW WORLD OF THINGS, as the members here are WANTING to help you, and reach out to do the best they can. I started this topic here, and have nothing but KNOWLEDGEABLE responses. This blows me away, and thank you everyone. I just hope I can find a job soon, as I've havent had 1 in 3 months..........

Guys if you have 'Corsair XMS2 PC6400C5 TwinX' Don't go looking to this BIOS for a fix to your problems.

Has absolutley no affect, RAM will STILL not POST at all on a divider or with manual timings!

Im gonna go google for some threads about this prob, not sure but I think there are a few mem timings that do actually work, if I can't find them by tonight I think Im gonna go get some new ram!

your board is bad. i have same ram and it works fine.

I flashed to 908 and couldn't get the board to post at 3.9ghz, let alone be stable. Also, cpu speed was reported as 16.92ghz. Anyone else have this problem?

clear cmos ->load optimized deflaults -> overclock

With 0908, stability is the same for me.
tested with 4 hours prime

I get the same reported speed @bios splash screen.... with 0804 but besides that missreporting, everything is 100% rock solid @ 3,2ghz c2d6400 on air cooling.

and when I did go back to the 804 the board wouldnt boot up again :eek: said bad checksum line 107 bios failed some B.S like this .. and would only go beep beep beep :eek:

had to use afudos and bring it back to life :mad: :slapass:

JUST DONT INSTALL THIS BIOS :mad:

The notes to P5B Beta BIOS 0908 advise to use AsusUpdate 7.09.01 to flash it. I assume the same goes for the Deluxe. I'll wait for the final.

Are you able to boot fine with Manual timings then?:confused:

Cos me and many others cannot, and are also unable to boot with any divider!

Its something Corsair said they would look at talking to asus about, and BTW this is my second P5B Deluxe, both had the same problem.

What are your ram timings?

I have never used asus update to flash anything. I prefer afudos anyway.

I used the bios's built in flasher...ezupdate.

so you flashed 908? What do you think of it?

it definitely fixed some kind of memory issue.....i don't get errors anymore in memtest at 500mhz.

yes, it definitely cleared up alot of issues from what I can tell. It will run 3.6ghz completely stable with lower voltage since I flashed, also its still not doing 4:5 too well, but I can boot 4:5 and have it stable for a lil longer. I just need to get a commando or a RD600 and ill be happy.

OK, so this 0908 Beta BIOS seems to be doing good? Does it by any chance fix the PCIe 1x issue?

how much lower voltage

did anyone else notice this?

The built in EZ Update worked for me.

Everest memory latency seems to be about 5-10ns higher with 908.

I have not noticed any other negative or positive issues at this point. I will continue to test and post any news worthy updates.
