tried diff slots. still can boot @2.05v. let alone 2.1v
Maybe your sticks are broken? Did you try them to run Memtest at 2,0v @ default? (400 MHz 4-4-4-12)?
thanks miravo
tRas 13 indispensable :)
For low MHz <450 You should be able to run tras=12 or even 11
So, with my Geil have still problem,
try so many setting in bios RAM on Asus P5B-Deluxe and too on gigabyte DQ6
try to load timing by SPD on each
on DQ6 try 667 and 800 - when set 800 and timing by SPD in 266*9/800 was 5-5-5-18 nad when set 268*9/806 timing was 5-6-6-20  unbelievably
of course try set timing manual 4-4-4-12(13) or as you Miravo still nothing on the both MB. From morning try testing 334*9/838 with 5-5-5-18 - know that is absolutly loss timing, but my Geil donot know runnig on 4-4-4-12 as say producer
so what with this :stick:
maybe is problem in TRAS go up to 4-4-4-15(18)
If your sticks aren't working on stock values, you will probably have to RMA them :(
I am afraid to say that lots of people having that issue especially with 965P :( so he should try to test it in another rigQuote:

i have these sticks in the post at the mo. Will be my first experience overclocking both intel and DDR2 so i'll give results on mine

From early testing with a set of these, which use Elpidia or similar ICs now, I get DDR1000 5-4-4-4 @2.175vdimm completely stable.
Yup. I had the recognising wrong on my P5B-D Wi/Fi.
Mine are the D9's as stated. They overclock like mad ones. But since I can't install a new BIOS on this board since it come back [from a failed BIOS flash from WIN. - DO NOT TRUST ASUS! (flash thru their prog my arse!)] I haven't oc'd them madly. and can't access the BIOS that allows divider on my mobo.
Before I had them on a 1:1 @ 450mhz with 4-4-4-12 on 2.1v and they don't bat an eyelid. run stable the lot. I miss those days....
Did you get the GX22GB6400UDCA=? NewEgg has for the revised version of the GeIL 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC6400 on sale right now for $180USD. If these are still Elpida the voltage which NewEgg has listed as 1.9v-2.4v can't be right.
i got these ones. just udc on the end. no a=.
On that link it says 99.99 before tax. i got them for 114.99 before tax 2 days ago :-(

I just bought a par of Geil pc6400 ultra low latency (GX22GB6400UDC)
On the chips it said XAM258-U93G.
Anybody know what chip that is ?
powerchip
Are they any good ?
hmmm my kit will only run 435 4.4.4.12 with 2,1 V
But there is somthing wrong ! 5,5,5,15 will only do 440.
I`v testet i set of dominator pc6400 rev 2,1 thy wont do mush better.
North bridge and fsb +0.2 in bios
And its not the cpu if i set multi. to 6 insted of 7 it`s the same :-(
any suggestion ?
hello everyone,
@ nanok: can you please tell me what cpu-z 1.40 tells you abaout your powerchip ram? Just want to know what chips i have...
mine are:
G.E.I.L. Ultra DIMM 2 GB DDR2-800 Kit (GX22GB6400UDC)
Module size: 1024 MBytes
Max Bandwidth: PC2-6400 (400 MHz)
Manufacturer: GEIL
Part Number: CL4-4-4-DDR2-800
Manufacturing Date: Week 27, Year 06 (i think this is the only indicator to know what chips are used!?!)
Timings Table:
5-5-5-18-23@400
4-4-4-12-16@266
3-3-3-9-12@200
my sticks get very very hot, so i went for active cooling. Is this normal??? THX
some powerchips are good, some bad, some excellent. Try to OC your sticks and you'll find out.
Hey mrsoussey
My data is the same as you`r ram only mine was made week 23 tear 06
my sticks do 5-5-5-18-23@500MHz @ 2,25V primestable
did not try any more...
what do you guys think about my sticks, is it Powerchip, elpida, aeneon,...?
if you were able to lower tras = 12, it would be probably Spectec :)
Any idea on mine?
Same Geil as used here, from Week 27, Year 06.
Timings table:
5-5-5-18-23@400
4-4-4-12-16@266
3-3-3-9-12@200
Will do DDR2-667 @ 3-3-3-10 @ 2.1v
Easily does DDR2-920 @ 5-5-5-18 @2.1v
I'd rather not rip the heatspreaders off to see... Oh, and the heatspreaders are racing orange.
