Got 2 of this from a webshop her in norway,dunno if its the same chip,they are not shipping until newyahre :(

Yes,one stick Elpidia@345mhz
And one stick Promos@330mhz

They both suck big time:D ,then i talked to them (Online store) on the phone,asked them to look at the sticks,and send me the ram if it reads Micron on the chip. They got 2 sticks,but i newer got them,think he kept it for himself...lol...

Will try another store just for fun.
But i got my Crucial 10th Anniversary,so im happy anyway. They got Micron for sure:cool:

I think very few are micron chips here,maybe try the PC5300 or PC6400 KVR,havent checked them.

Its a fun hunt,until you got real PC4200 Promos chip......lol.... the worst i ever tested:D

went to bios again and disabled everything LOL, also jacked up the vMCH to 1.65v and unplugged all the HDDs except OS and tried again

and sure enough it does 32M now

surprising that the times are pretty good considering these are 2x256MB sticks at really really really loose timings

i'd be surprised if you saw much of a gain over 5-5-5 actually. try for 600mhz at 5-5-5 again, you should be able to do it ;)

i did it wouldn't even boot at 550MHz (5-5-5-15-3-30-3-9-7-9) :confused: have to have another look tomorrow






jumped straight to 610MHz and it ALMOST passed LOL....bit improvement from a few little changes there

jumped straight to 640MHz on RAM = CRASH :D

crashes are funny......the computer just jerks a little (youknow when you get drunk and you feel a little bit hitting your throat first before the big spew.....:lol: that's how the PC kinda acts and then the big kaboom :D )
