a question.is the power connector for the fans 1 for both of em or u get individuall power supply for each fan?
i got an Aerocool Gatewatch and i plan to control the fans through it.

any additional feedback would be mostly appreciated :D

These look good. So are there any reviews detailing how well they actually cool memory DIMMs (especially with extra volts being added?)

I bought one today, you can see the pics in the aircooling gallery thread. Like mentioned, mounting is pretty poor. It woobles all over the place. Very loud @ full speed, but with fans @ 60% via speedfan, it isn't noticable.

I got it for a steal too, $20CAD locally :)

sory but i dont agree with you , the airflow its OK and dont forget the fans almost touch the Rams , the airflow is 100% for the Rams

the noise , well , i have a Fan controller but even with the fans FUll i dont think they are very , very , very noise , its OK

I disagree aswell

Ram doesn't need mega airflow, having loads of airflow over the ram won't make ANY difference to having JUST ENOUGH air to cool the ram so they don't feel warm to touch...

and the noise isn't THAT bad :confused:

that was the problem, my memory stayed pretty warm even at just 2.2v
with a single 80mm fan over the same memory at the same voltage, they feel cool to the touch (it's a silent fan from an arctic cooling heatsink)

I will continue to use mine. With the fans @ 60% via speedfan i can't hear them over my 700W Game Xtreme PSU.

This is one sexy mem cooler and the only one not utilizing crappy 40mm fans. I'll order one as soon as it gets back in stock here... :)

BTW one more question. What connector does it use, 3 or 4pin (molex)?

I spoke with OCZ yesterday and was told that this XTC memory cooler will not work with this memory, FYI.

I thought XTC was just a fancy name OCZ gave their heatspreaders. I have 2 gigs of OCZ pc6400 platinum, and it says it has a "platinum" XTC heatspreader. With no airflow, they stay pretty cold, so I don't really care. I had a 2 gig kit of the "gold" heatspreader versions and when I looked closely, there was some kind of fabric under the heatspreader, ugh...:( I returned that ram because the stupid barcode came off when I was trying to do the rebate:(

The fabric you saw under the heatspreader was a thermal interface material (TIM) that is used to hold the old heatspreader down. We have changed TIM material for a thinner more heat conductive type as you see on yout XTC modules. :)
