Great work, but I wonder what it will do without the mod?

Great work, but I wonder what it will do without the mod?
I can reduce to 1.75vnb later this week and test if you like...
bottom line;- air/water cooling ain't running out of fsb for an e6600, 24/7 use...
on phase the extra fsb is useful...
regards
raja

probably you might get it ;) I really duno what the new version fixes but if its something really big then i guess better wait for it :toast:
I've been playing with the new BIOS as well.
Even with quadcore it does well compared to other boards.
With quad core kentfield I was able to be stable up to 375mhz fsb. This is up from 345 on old bios with kentfield.
Memory performance is also improved. DDR 1100 @ 4-4-4-12 w/ decent D9GMH is now reachable for me.
My board is one of the first, so rev A.
It is just amazing how far this board has come.
I just orderd this card, i will sell my aw9d-max because i don't like the n-b cooling on abit but will miss uguru, much better n-b cooling on DFI easyer to take off, just waiting for RD600 to be released:)
let us know how performance was affected and whether this is the result from looser latencies or something else
i heard that the rev B board was awesome. I will do a direct compare to the xbx2 and summarize the results. I am not sure how much time I have to play with this stuff, but we shall see.
I am excited to see the memory performance is there. It is = to the evga 680i that I was playing with.

Are you sure about being able to adjust the multiplier with all core2 cpus becuase even with the latest bios I have not seen actual multiplier adjustment.
Maybe I've missed it but I looked for it and it looks like the option may only be available for the xtreme cores.
only default multi I'm afraid, which is no bid deal really, e6600 does best on 9x...
superpim1m, I'd say this is 1066 strap...

When I selected that, I had unlocked multi's in genie bios.
wow! thanks for the heads up raja.
i will look into this board. still waiting for abit to release a bios like this for the aw9d-max.
one more thing...
so there is no multiplier adjustment with any bios?
so if i have a 6700, i'm stuck at 10x?
I'm hoping for multi adjustment with this new bios, my 6700 is an ES, but none of the older bios have any adjustment...... will lyk later today ;)Quote:
