dont you know that price of this evap (copper + the time you need to make it) is more than a plate HX ?
you can find plate hx for good price 50 €is an average
on ebay you find lots of plate hx n like here http://search.ebay.de/PlattenWaermet...rkwZkompressor
well it is a good ideia, but now i'v the cooper and i'm trying to be quick on this cascade :S
about the plate hx what is good? 20kw? 50kw?
about the size there is no problems, this ones i made it's more than ok, will a plate hx like this ones perform way better? i never uses one :(
need to get one to test
Oh you will love plate HX...
last night 200W heatload on my load tester which seems to be on "hot" side of story... SC15CLX/SC12CLX combo which is considered small in cascade held -89.5c on evap :) Not quite done tuning yet though :)
hummmm :banana::banana::banana:!! only you guys to :banana::banana::banana: my brain :S i'll make it with this hx's becouse i need it ready quick and bu from ebay need more 1 or 2 weeks to have it @ home...
but later i'll buy plate hx to try :P anyway i think this hx's have quite good heat exchanger area. i like it very mutch on predator cascade

heheeh the most i found on ebay was 20kw or more :D
So on the subject of plate HX's...is there any disadvantage of using one rated more than 5kW? Would it affect performance if you used one rated a higher kW?
i think it will be better under load
so 4kw or 5kw is enough
Definitively NO DISadvantages :) except needing more space! ;)
...and higher price :rolleyes:Quote:

All the basic behavior of ss applies directly on cascade too... except... you do have variation due to 1st stage in this case... :)
make the dieffrence btw both , you will see:toast:Quote:

2nd: i'm thinking on 12000 btu compressors for 2nd and 3rd stages, i can buy it more cheap if comes with mineral! if i add some propane for oil carry it will be ok or i must drill and hole on carter and change for poe oil? or save more money and buy poe compressors?
i'm thinking on r404a/ethylene/ethylene and after r404a/ethylene/r14
thanks :)
isn't mineral oil ok for ethylene ?
so buy one and one with poe oil
to drill a hole, maybe it's a bit too extrem, isn't it ? :D
I know we're on Xtremsystem but... :D
I would buy compressor with mineral oil, for sure you can add some R290, it will carry oil with pleasure, however, you must install oil separator just after compressor, so oil type isn`t problem.Quote:
