Thanks for the report. Did you use the 1066 or 1333 strap? What is the max. FSB possible with the 1066 strap?Quote:

I was using the 1333 strap. 1066 runs out of steam around 350-380MHz.Quote:

Newegg has them. $329.99 :(

Thanks for the report on NewEgg. (Don't forget $6.94 for shipping, WTF?)
TigerDirect has them for $250: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...3&Sku=I69-2145
... and OEM QX6700 for a mere $1100 (compared to NewEgg's obscene $1500): http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...?EdpNo=2573616
Retail box QX6700 for $1300: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...?EdpNo=2573616
Wow, Newegg is just gouging on those motherboards. :( Geez. I chatted with them and they offered me a "courtesy $25 off the $329.99 price plus free shipping" Ummmmm....I declined.
I ran into a slight delay, I was hit with a second 8800GTX and banged out some SLI 3D stuff on 680i while I had it on the Vapo.
Looking like Friday for the tripple stage cascade w/ Kentsfield. I have a sweet chip that should break 5ghz benchable.
lol. hit, charles? those are some heavyweight cards, so musta been a good hit! still waiting for some more updates in your thread....looking forward to seeing your XBX2 numbers too.:fact:
10 more available now, all OEM again.
I would really like to see some more detailed overclocking results from the Bad Axe 2 posted before I lay down $250.
(When is eva2000 getting one?)

I just test my XBX2 (retail version 503) mobo with my L629B E6600. So far 400X9 orthos LargeFFT stable @ 1.40v in bios, 1.37v in windows, using 1066 strap. The vFSB&vMCH at default, only change fsb to 400, increase Vcore to 1.40v, mem runs at 800MHz.
IMO, XBX2 is a great mobo. I do not need to do OC-Debug mod to overclock my E6600. The vDroop is much less than Asus P5WDG2 WS Pro. vDimm from 1.80v to 2.80v, FSB from 133 to 500 MHz.
:)
That what I like to hear, I hope my E6600 is a good one.Quote:

No, I can't set lower multiplier unless X6800 used. Havn't try fsb higher than 400, but will test it this evening.
The vdroop is about the same as the old xbx.
waiting for a motherboard from DFI or asus using this chipset:woot: :toast:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no new chipset involved in this board.Quote:

Well that was a quiet launch really I didn't even remember...but not the DFI/ASUS .
I thought I read it was scaled down? hmm Too much reading in too little time with TOO MUCH impatience :D
I actually ordered mine from TigerDirect using the link a few posts up at 249.99 (Newegg's price is a horrificly inflated one.)
