small cascade

hx is 2mm capps inside. 5x2mm will give very area for very gas condense and a lot of superface to make good heat-change i'v tested this 2meter +- on predator cascade and it work very well.

2 meter for hx with 5x 2 mm ?

i ve captube 1.5 inside , gonna test when i could :)

well it takes some time but i'v been a litle busy

it was been tested. i just used pure ethylene becouse off even on only pure ethylene and so small hx pressures dont pass 175psi hi on 1.85v 4800mhz conrroe full load on the two cores!.

as the ideia is to get lower pressures, low temp on compressors, low noise and small box, it was an success in my opinion!

the box gets a litle bigger than i desighn it was a mistake on size :S anyway i gain a litle room to easy mouting.

and as i supose vapochill ls compressor is to powerless, on that big full load it handle the temps on -8X range, low pressure goes too hi, for better temps it need a better sucking compressor :D

anyway the temps was better than thinked on inicial ideia, -75ºc +-

i found a paper with some things i write on garage, that hx have only 1.8m lenght :D and it works well!! it makes easy to have a powerfull 1st stage and pressures on 2ndstage is awsome. less than 90psi static, 150psi idle and 170psi full loaded.

I'm the lucky owner of this new small cascade that my friend and partner in bench built for me.

My intentions where a small and civilized cascade with the easy mounting system of the VapoLS kit..

The cascade used old Danfoss compressors from Prometeia from the 1st stage and the original VapoLS compressor for the 2nd stage

The unit is quite silent for a cascade..

Ricky really did a terrific job, the small cascade hold -85ºC with the X6800 with 1.85v..

Ricky used his new home made evaporatos that really give amazing results in load, even with a so unpowerfull compressors.

Great compact cascade Ricky! Do you find 5-6m pipe in pipe hx's are not needed? For example 1/4" in 1/2"?
