Do you just mean the resistence or maybe other differences on the pcb regarding power supply?
I heard x1900gt-rev2 has only 2-phase power, how about the x1950pro?
The 2-phase power on the x1900gt is limiting when voltmodded :(

x1950 pro uses digital pulse width modulation as opposed to analog.

Um, it's $40 cheaper than a 7900GS. It's the same price as most 7600GT's.

how the hell do you figure that? so far from what ive seen in the US, the cheapest x1950pro is 199usd. the cheapest 7900GS is 185.99(EVGA)

even in canada the cheapest x1950pro sits around 250, while the 7900gs is about 220.

dont know about your math, but my math tells me that 185 is less than 199, and 220 is less than 250.

im not debating ati vs nvidia, i personally just had 2 ati cards before my 7900gs, and still run a x800pro in my backup rig.

im just saying that at overclocked speeds, the x1950pro doesnt smash the 7900gs like people were saying.

i was expecting higher clocks due to 80nm and digi pwm.

i mean look at the crossfire 05 results, only 250 point increase by going from 574/1363 to 614/1593. no way you can say that isnt dissappointing.

Still too early to make judgements. This is just 1 xs members result with x1950 pro. we still need the new ati drivers and we still haven't seen it overclocked with higher voltage yet..I hear the ati engineers are overclocking them to insane levels. only time will tell. I'm curious to see 2 7900gs sli vs 2 x1950 pro in crossfire. The legit reviews article only had 1 7900gs to test.

i hope so, because with all the hype i was expecting more, but then seen his results and kinda got disheartened.:cool:

I'll take the X1950Pro over the GS. BTW you guys might want to try the beta 6.11 cats. They recognize the X1950Pro and can do HDR + AA in Oblivion with no additional patches. They actually do darn well in Crossfire. The above FS bench is of course single card.

can anyone comment on how noisy this MSI x1950pro is? I am looking for a very low noise card, which exhausts hot air directly for a quiet gaming rig and think that this MSI might be it.
