Wonder if MSI did a half assed job replacing those resistors on my card or sth as it was whining since start in some games, most likely was a bad cap somewhere tho. Really hope they'll send a new card, wonder how it clocks, this one clocked very good on mem, up to 850 on stock volts but core only went stable up to 690 or so.

It should fly with 1.5v or something like that... I haven't tried higher than 715 yet... may look into that this week :)

i may want to get a 7900gto now... too bad us usa folks cant get msi ones, only evga
for all the people that say their card overheats (thinking this is like most other vid cards) and cant overclock that high, ur wrong
u run into voltage problems waaay before u run into temp problems
just wanted to make something clear to some guys that say their card always overheats

No way, why would I want a variable resistor ?
1.95V to RAM is enough for me, and I wouldn't be able to use a variable resistor anyway with the case closed.

SF3D: How come you don't have to change both resistors to set it to GTX voltage? Is this because the resistors are used in a series to get the right resistance on the voltage regulator?

That's correct.

You should get your money back from Jimm's PC store (If you buy it from there) and buy a new one from other place. There is huge price difference. (Verkkokauppa.com GTO 239€<-->Jimm's GTO 279€)

IT GETS TO HOT. PERIOD.

They can even look into the log file, Rigth click this computer- manage- Event log.

You fill find a message in there.
I will have to flash the bios when I geet home to increase Fan speed and then do the Vcore mod :)

BIOS said my already goes to 100%.:confused:
Has the VGPU-Mod tested?
Try to polish the cooler with nevrdull.
It gets my card @ load 7°C lower!

Is it normal that the circles are connected with the resistors?

This is basic VID mod. (same mod method with 7900GT, 7800GT/GS, 6800GS)

In Primarion PX3535DDRG there is 5 VID pins. Controller use VRM10 or AMD Hammer VID code.

Example (AMD Hammer VID): 1.4V is 0,0,1,1,0 and 1.45V is 0,0,1,0,0.

I don't have datasheet, so I couldn't discover how to enable different voltage table or something.

If there is someone who could get this datasheet, please give it to me ;)

It works for me with wire from other poin to ground. (Same mod--different method). What else you need to know?

If it doesn't work with silver paint, nothing bad happens. Voltage will not rise in this case.
