i have been hearing people trying to boycott EA for like 2 years (in Gamespot , and yeah a lot of people said that). yet there r people still buy their crap. the best proof is probably the fact that EA is still there. a lot of people r full of bses LOL...

i just hope that this game might be the threshhold for EA to see that aint no one is gonna swallow their :banana::banana::banana::banana:. so we will see how the sales goes and maybe EA will fail.

and yeah thats a funny avatar diltach. lol

Hmm is that letter inside the box? Because here in Spain they don't change a piece of software if it has the plastic envelope removed. OMGZ, I was just gonna state that. What kind of sense does it make to sell something to a consumer, and when they open it, they find it has something inside it that they didn't ask to buy, don't want, yettttttttttttt, THEY CAN'T RETURN!??? WTF, WE ARE GETTING OWNED!!

I can only hope quake wars will be everything Day of Defeat failed to be, everything Team Fortress 2 turned out not to be, and everything the Battlefield series will never be.

Looks like Quake Wars is Carmack's chance to redeem himself for Doom 3...

Sorry but I doubt you perfectly know how piracy related laws are in Spain. So before stating something like that "That is very bs" you better inform.

Spanish laws allow stores (or anyone who sells sofware legally) to not return the money if there is a suspice (don't know if that's the word sorry) that you've opened and copied the software. Unless the disc is scratched or doesn't work. In which case they always give you a similar item. So if the plastic is removed, they don't give the money back PERIOD.

and i doubt u understand what i said. the bs part is that some people will find out this game has spyware-like stuff in it after they bought it and can't return it. do u actaully think that they will put a letter like that outside of the box?? also its prolly in the EULA somewhere. So before stating sometihng like "i doubt u understand" you better inform.

also thats no different than how it works in US.... u get a scratched disc u can get replacement, but no refund. and yeah u can return a software console games that are not opened. not sure about online store though, but most store let u do that.

Well Microsoft clearly states that outside the box on my copy of Windows XP, so it shouldn't be so hard for EA to do the same...

OK, it's not the full EULA, but at least they warn you about the fact that inside the box there's something you might dislike :D:D

And sorry if I misunderstood you, but you was quoting me and saying bs about something else :p: Case closed ;)

yeah i shoulda say it clear-er about the fact that they force u to agree to the IGA. like i said most peopel wont find that out until they opened the box. in which case its too late, and that disgust me, and its bs.

i hope when people said boycott EA they actually boycott EA. as EA is still alive.... meaing it deos made enough profit in the past 2 years. :)

seriosuly though, i cant undertstand how anyone would buy say NBA live every eyar or even twice every year?? i mean they only moded and added a couple model and bam its anotehr 50 bux. i mean i understand some people are crazy about NBA, but paying $100 for 2 games that u prolyl owned last year isn't smart....

its funny and its true....

one other thing, developers should stop asking steam to distribute their games. now taht activision has Call Of Duty , COD 2 , and couple other games distributed on steam. its only a matter of time b4 other developers to jump in to that ship. not that i have anything against valve's steam, but i dont want to play every game through steam in year 2010.

No Widescreen.
No 64-Bit.
No Multicore.
No HDR.
No PhysX
No Good Engine.

Any major game coming out anywhere this timeframe should have at least one of those. I think we need to make a BF2142 clone in some other engine and throw it int heir faces by supporting all of those.

All they have is gameplay. The rest is tolerated, but for me, they've gone too far. They've crossed the line.

Quake Wars all the way man.

The engine is only 1 year old. HDR is overrated. The engine isnt bad but the other complaints are valid.

If you installed SWAT4 and stay at version 1.0 come to my server when you go to lobby its says www.miaworld.net , i think is one of the best SWAT4 servers out there.

TBH, I wasn't that excited about BF2142. It looks like a BF2 mod. There are better Sci-Fi mods out there than 2142, anyway. Granted, they aren't ranked. Which is a dubious advantage - since accumulating game points really doesn't give you anything substancial (besides people starting to point whore).
