If the Storm rev2 and MCW60 have the same thread I would expect the EK rev 2. G 1/4 barb to fit equally well on both..wonder why some have said the EK barb pulls out easily on the MCW60 but not the Storm rev2
Can we make this a sticky before it gets lost? Marci's recent comments here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=119836
on the effects of elbow's would be a great addition to this thread as well!
Yeah, my bad... I must have been on crack when I suggested that the DD G1/4 were 11mm ID... you are right!Quote:

I'm trying to pay attention to all this discussion, but I can't stop looking at eXa's avatar. :)
Old story. Eventually u get used to it... :p:
Nice guide, eXa.
Keep to info coming.
Stickied. ;)
hm stickied? putting preassure on me to fill in more blocks\pumps\rads\fittings... ?:p:
Nah, just did it because of your avatar. :D
lol, thanks...
Edit: look, already added alot tonight!
I have a question.
Who was the numbnuts who designed these EK or DD barbs. Why in the world would they make them ONLY 1/4" in length when they could easily have made them 1/2" length.
All my Swiftech stuff uses 1/2" plastic barbs, so if i try to use a DD or EK barb it feels like it is only going in 2 turns : (...
Who can i address this to?
aint the EK longer than DD?
lol, ya by like 2 threads :D
im not sure but i think you are horribly confused.....Quote:

Who cares how long it is. One clockwise turn, or two, I could care less. Either way is gives you a water-tight seal. The threads are mismatched anyway, if they were any longer, you wouldn't be able to use them on your swifty blocks.Quote:

Yes both of those barbs fit the threads on my Swifty stuff just fine.
hmm i have a mcres-micro with dd g1/4 high flow fittings on them. fits perfectly...
Removed the "work in progress" but doesnt mean i wont add more. Still adding more now and then. did actually add some fittings just now...
If u feel like something is missing just add a link here and ill add it!
Here's a link to a comparison of EK vs. DD high-flow G1/4 barbs...
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=122163
Ive read all the Thread and am still confuse. Some says that these DD G1/4 High Flow Fittings - 1/2" ( http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...oducts_id=3979 ) WIll fit the Storm and MCW60 and some says that they tried and did'nt worked out. Will they work and not leak ? and will i have to use some of this ? http://www.petrastechshop.com/ptthta1wi50r.html
Sorry i know im beeing retard askign this again but whit all the infos going here it's just like a big mess! LOL!
You don't need teflon tape for barbs with O-rings. DD barbs work find with MCW60. Just get a pair of each barbs and see which you like better.....Quote:
